Powell endorsement could cement landslide,
Edited on Fri Oct-17-08 12:48 PM by Perky
People who do not want Powell's endorsement because he is tainted by Iraq are being imbecilicHe is the most respected African American with swing voters out there. He has military and foreign policy gravitas. It might offend your sensibilities but for cripes sakes it has the potential to cement a landslide election with serious impact on presidential politics for a generation to come.

Are you seriously not going to vote for Obama because of such an endorsement????? Get a frigging grip

:banghead: :argh:

Suck it up and get you head out of your ass.

1. Powell's credibility left with the WMDs.
Now he is a sad footnote in history.

4. Maybe swing voters you know.
But the undecideds I know give less than a damn what an EX-Secetary of State who has been invisible for the last couple of years has to say about 2008 Presidential politics.

3. Exactly. Powell hasn't had anywhere NEAR as much pull
Since he paraded around the UN as the Bush* spokesman showing all those sat-images of WMD.
Then he left the administration after being ostracized.

He's been out of the public eye for years except for that CNN special with the former Secretaries of State.

This Powell endorsement thing is one big "who gives a damn?" moment.

5. People, please. There are lots of imbeciles out there.
Undecideds, for example, are imbeciles. And the only people who respect Powell are imbeciles.

Therefore this hypothetical endorsment is a good thing.

7. Did someone really say that they wouldn't vote for Obama if Powell endorsed him?
Or did you just make that part up?

10. Why bother?
Those who understand what you're saying don't need the encouragement and who don't never will. There are a lot of purists here who absolutely refuse to believe or admit that someone they don't like could help the cause. To them the only way to run a campaign is to fall right in line with their thinking. Anything else is blasphemy.

11. I am feeling ornery, LOL
And I still think 375 electoral votes is a lot better than 275.
