We need to hit back with our own robocall on thie Ayers thing. I fear this may
begin to bite into Obama's lead. We need a simple direct call repeating his lack of real association with Ayers and that McCain wants to change the subject because he can't talk about the economy.

And we need to target every single caller that is being targeted now with the McCain call.

1. I Disagree
Polls show that this is an issue for only a small fraction (10%?) of likely voters. And nearly all of these people are doubtless folks who would never vote for Obama in the first place.

2. Up to now I would agree--but this call is different. It is nearly directly calling Obama a
terrorist. if they keep this up on the robocalls it will begin to stick. The scientific (and yest there have been studies on this) evidence shows that eventually it will stick.

3. A Campaign Ad Featuring Obama's Supporters Would Be Even . . .
Better! I have been thinking about this for a few days. An ad featuring the "rainbow" of Obama's support stating the following: we support Obama because he loves his country! we support Obama because he is substantive and has been all along, we reject the smear campaign of McCain's, and we completely reject any attempt to paint Obama as anti-American or anything that even smacks of terrorism. A final shot might be taken saying "Mr. McCain, you will be judged by how you conducted your campaign,-- you have 17 days to get in control of your campaign and figure out a way to regain respect.
