I feel for Stephanie Cutter from the Obama campaign
who had to follow the insane performance of Congresslunatic Michelle "Fundamentalist Twistian" Bachmann on Hardball this evening. Holy shit! Her voice was shaking with rage--mine would have been too; I'm shaking even now!--and she was being asked to respond intelligently to the rantings of that psychotic imbecile. After confessing that if Bachmann's vision of America is accurate she wants a ticket the next plane to Canada (unfortunate parry, but understandable given the rage Bachman's rant had to have stirred up in her), I think she handled herself pretty well. Matthews asked her to respond to Bachmann's charge that Obama had a lot to answer for by saying that it was actually McCain who had a lot to answer the American people for, such as why he doesn't give a shit (not her words) about the hard-strapped middle class in this country.

Watch this video to the very end, if you can stomach it. Not for the faint of heart:

1. Will have to watch it after work...
But I'm starting to like Chris Matthews. Glad he finally got tired of sniffing chimpy's flight suit.

2. I saw it
I saw this when it was first on and Bachmann is right out of the Joe McCarthy school of politics. Everybody that doesn't agree with her RightWing bull is at a minimum anti-american and maybe even a traitor to their country. The one thing that always gets me when these wingnuts start spewing their vile crap is the little smirk they get on their face. Watch them next time you see one. The caption I would put on that smirk is 'I can't believe anybody really buys this shit, but this is what they told me to say and they control the money so here goes!!'.

7. That's actually not too bad at this point.
She is within humiliation's reach.

11. That lead will evaporate overnight
Especially with the influx of cash coming in now to her opponent. I'm sure they'll be running her filth wall-to-wall between now and election day. She'll be lucky to be within 14 points.

9. I just don't know how you don't get emotional in the face of such obtuse idiocy.
Hard to believe even Barack Obama would not lose his cool.

10. I know I would be so angry that I would be unable to speak at all.
I felt that Katrina Vanden Hueval was superb. She was able to keep her tone even, but her words were cutting and hit the problem right on the head. I envy her ability to remain rational in the face of such total insanity and stupidity.

12. I think at the very least righteous indignation is CALLED FOR.

13. I agree 100% with her emotion. My comment was on her ability to communicate while feeling that
righteous indignation.
