1. I don't necessarily believe in the "Friday news dump" concept anymore.

A lot of people catch up on the news on the weekend, the chat shows are on Sunday, and the Internetz have ushered in an era of 24/7 news access. Add in the current financial crisis and a lot of people are glued to the news on Sunday evening when the Asian markets open.

2. Republicans have a way in making Dems into the bad guy especially when it comes to calling their bs

Since this is something that will distract people from THE MAIN POLITICAL ISSUES. It is a procedural issue as opposed to a substantive issue.

It is similar to asking voters to think two different things at the same time. Some can. Most won't bother.
