2. It's much more important than books and movies....
They will be digging in these remains and fossils for centuries to come.

3. Currently Edward Norton and his Documentary crew are following Obama for last 2 years
so its likely he has the best source of info for his documentary (assuming he doesnt cut the fat) since he has seen it all.

5. Better yet: Who will play Obama?
I wonder if Will Smith could pull it off. He doesn't look much like Obama, but then, he didn't look much like Muhammed Ali either, yet he did a wonderful job with that movie.

6. Will Smith will probably look too old by the time they make a biopic
They have to wait until at least the last year of his tenure. That'll be 2016!

9. It's the end of 'white male' rule here.
with the probable election of the first non-white male President. Non-white male citizens have strived since day one in this nation to get their rights after the ones who started playing king of the mountain with their families on the hill only gave themselves actual voting rights in the new nation they formed. The "collateral damage" didn't deserve the right to vote in their eyes. We've been fighting in various centuries, wars and movements for it every since. And now "one" will lead.

This timeframe will be referenced in history for a long long time. It's era-changing. The ones losing power will get incredibly nasty in their smears and anger at not being top dog. Maintain awe in your mind until the vote to offset their darkness. They have no clue how important this time really is.

But we do. Enjoy the ride!

10. The primaries are several books unto themselves.
The Clinton campaign could be the subject of several fascinating books.

Don't even get me started with the Obama campaign. Everything from portraits from the inside, political science texts about their methods, and the (hopeful) transformation of the national parties' electoral maps, particularly planting the Democratic flag in the Solid Republican South and the Mountain West.

The McCain campaign could be the subject of a number of books.

Sarah Palin and the "process" by which she was picked would be a very compelling story.

I think the story of the race in Virginia alone is a very compelling one about the political and demographic transformation happening in the South, and could be prefaced by a whole big section on the Webb/Allen Senate race in 2006 which is very illustrative of the same topic, and no doubt was massively studied by Obama, Axelrod and Plouffe in planning the campaign there.

As far as film, nothing could be more anticipated than Norton's film, but I imagine years down the road there will be fictional and docudrama treatments, some shitty and hopefully some good.

I suppose Will Smith will wind up playing Obama, LOL.

11. heh...I want to see the musical.
As for books, I read yesterday that Ryan Lizza from the New Yorker is writing a book about campaign 08. Can't wait to see the others that come out.

12. I would love to know behind the scenes of the Obama campaign
I mean how they *really* reacted to every event from the Clinton and McCain camp.

The "war room" conversations between Axelrod, Plouffe, Obama, Valerie Jarret, Gibbs. Gosh to be a fly on the wall in that stuff.
