OK, so I saw the Bachmann interview finally...and I'm still wondering why Tweety didn't ask THIS:
"If Barack Obama is so anti-American, as you claim, why in the world do you think he's running for president? Because he HATES his country?"

2. He really didn't need to ask anything
She was having a grand ol time hanging herself, no need to interfere.

4. The answer to that would've been too easy.
"I think that's what all Americans really need to worry about. Why is he running for president? What are his intentions?..." etc.

Much better to draw her out as he did, one step at a time, and see how far she's willing to go on the "leftists are un-american" theme... I think.

5. Napoleonic Maxim ...

Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. This applies to warfare, but it has several direct and indirect corollaries.

In journalism (or, in this case, entertainment based news broadcasting) the maxim is altered somewhat to: Never interrupt a train wreck.

Much more entertainment value was had by letting her go. The side benefit in the political world is her being allowed to ramble on like an idiot let her expose herself and her party more fully for what it is.

6. Chris wisely stood out of the way and let the trainwreck happen
All he could have done was interrupt the ongoing catastrophe.

10. Exactly. When someone is melting down, just step back and let it happen.
Makes it clear that the crazy is all them.
