Do we have to have Ohio to win?
Can we do it without them negating the need for court intervention should a legal battle erupt?

1. Nope -- Lots of paths to 270 without Ohio.
Many, many scenarios could get Obama there without the Buckeye State.

2. Imho, yes. We need Ohio. And more than that, Ohio deserves to get
its votes COUNTED this time.

3. The best part about Obama doing well in VA and other states is that we no loner need Ohio
Makes me breath easier. It would be great to get it but its not life and death.

4. No. There's a lot of possibilities.
In fact, if you believe the CNN map, which is much more conservative than others, but put Virginia in the blue column - if all the states they have listed in blue actually go blue, Obama wins.

The rest only add more towards a clear mandate.

20. we need 16 EV more than Kerry. IA is 7, NM is 5. Those two seem in the bag
so all we need is one more.

CO VA NV OH FL NC take your pick

My picks are CO or VA

7.  the Ohio legislature should introduce a bill to distribute its EC votes proportionally
I think that could be done by simple legislative majority in that state.

Is it looking likely that both houses of the Ohio legislature will go blue this year?

18. With all due respect, "weeks later" is *rich*, coming from a Floridian.
Which state will put Obama/Biden over the top first? A friendly bet... I say it's Ohio. ;-)

Don't act like it's OK to disenfranchise Ohio, because it won't matter! I live in Ohio!

27. No, we have 264 EV's with IA, NM and NH locked in.
From there, any one of CO, VA, FL, OH, MO, NC, IN, win for us. Even NV ties, and we would then win in the House.
