Interesting, the company doing the robo calls is registered in MN as a foreign company
I just did a business records search on the company doing the robo calls, FLS Connect, LLC, and discovered that they are listed as a Foreign Limited Liability Company. So it appears not only are they making these bullshit calls they send the money they are paid from the McCain campaign overseas.

3. I do think this needs to be looked at further
Because it appears there is a strong chance they structured it this way as a way to avoid taxes and the legalities could be questioned. I've owned a couple of corporations and you just can't register a business in a foreign country and still conduct business here and call yourself a foreign business, otherwise every company would do that.

4. Is there a lawyer in the house? Sounds fishy to me.
This may violate election law or tax law or something, I don't know. But it doesn't sound right.

5. Foreign does not mean from another country in this situation.
If an out-of-state business entity is “doing business” in (insert name of state), it must file a foreign application.

6. In order for a company to do business in Minnesota it must be registered.
It can be organized as a domestic business entity (organized in Minnesota) or as a foreign business entity (organized outside of Minnesota).

This is the same for all of the states.
