3. Wrong direction may not always help Kerry
Joe Klein pointed out on Meet the Press that some of these people who think Bush is heading in the wrong direction don't think he is extreme enough.

1. Religious conservatives who don't think he is conservative enough

2. Religious conservatives who don't believe in the Iraq invasion.

3. People who think we should be more aggressive internationally

No matter how much these people disagree with Bush they will never vote for Kerry.

4. That statement is so open ended it has no meaning.....
Thinking this country is headed in the wrong direction could mean
wingers who think we are all going to hell in a handbasket because
of atheism, the "gay agenda", or whatever.

It drives me nuts that this polling question is so widely repeated. It
is way too non-specific to give any clear picture of voter attitudes.
