So... my wife and I headed to Southern PA for a little anniversary getaway...
(My wife really wanted to go to Hershey Park!)

Anyway, we made it back just in time to avoid a Sarah Palin campaign stop. but DAMN are there a lot of signs for McLame down in rural PA. All over the freakin' place. BIG ones too. Like mini billboards. Very depressing... and we of course probably didn't make any friends with our NY license plates and multiple Obama stickers and magnets.

Not all was depressing, though. Once we made it into Harrisburg itself there were actually quite a few Obama signs. Also, there were all the Reese's peanut butter cups we could eat! Plus I'm sure the larger towns in PA are overflowing with Obama supporters. But down in the sticks it was kinda scary.

Worse was being away from my big dysfunctional family here on DU. I was stuck listening to CNN's spin on the debate. I had no access to the polls. Being disconnected like that was pretty nerve wracking.

But any way... hey everyone! Great to be back!

2. There's a few of the 'billboard' ones here in Wa.
I took comfort in the observation that it was pretty much a form of spam by owners of large properties and not really indicative of individual votes.

Even funnier, the majority of these large landowners had HUGH!1! signs for every other 'R' candidate but McPalin.

3. I thought I saw a McCain bumper sticker in Vermont, but
when I got closer it actually said "McCain: 4 More Years of Bush."
