McCain Copies Bush (DNC Rapid Response Team) re: robocalls
Back in 2000, when John McCain first ran for president, George Bush helped sink his campaign with hateful and deceptive "robocalls" and mailers.

Now McCain is trying to do the same to Barack Obama.

These "robocalls" -- automated phone calls that spread rumors and lies -- combine with misleading mailers to sow doubt under the radar, and McCain condemned them in no uncertain terms back then.

We can't let these smears sink Barack Obama. If you've received a deceptive "robocall" or mailer, report it to the Obama campaign and help fight back.

At the debate this week, McCain snapped at Barack, "I'm not George Bush."

But John McCain not only wants to continue George Bush's disastrous economic policies for another four years, he actually hired the same firm to attack Barack that attacked him in 2000.

These "robocalls" and mailers are only effective if they stay in the shadows, and the best way to fight them is to bring them out into the open.

Voters around the country have started coming together to denounce these dirty tactics, but they need help from Rapid Response Team members to identify and publicize attacks as they happen.

Forward this email to your friends and help make sure McCain's sleazy, low-road tactics get reported:

Together we can make sure another election isn't stolen by dirty Republican tactics.

Keep up the good work,

DNC Rapid Response Team
