The real tactic behind the repubs focus on ACORN

By all estimates at this point, if the election is fair,Obama will win and probably win big . The McCain campaign knows that, the republicans know that . The only option they've got left at this point is widespread election fraud or election chaos on 11/4 giving them an opening to challenge the results.

A week or two before the ACORN story broke, Fox News started focussing on voter fraud and if FOX start to heavily concentrate on something, it's usually part of a tactic or an agenda to help the GOP. Then came the ACORN "set-up", the perfect follow-up. ACORN received some fraudulent registrations and told the authorities about it, they didn't get any feedback and were surprised to see their offices beind raided several weeks and months later.
I know this sounds like a conspiracy , but it's the only plausible explanation at this point.For the GOP ,the media's focus on ACORN serves many purposes: It allows them to hide their efforts to try and steal the vote ; It's a somewhat effective attack line against Obama ; It gives them an opportunity to challenge the election results if they don't succeed in stealing it.
