Do you think this double-digit lead means pResident Turd is going to appear in public without requring loyalty oaths in writing?

1. What double-digit lead?
Rasmussen has Bush leading by 1.2 point today. Doesn't sound double-digit to me.

8. I doubt the drunk's even got a lead....
once new voters and voters who plan to vote this year but didn't vote in 2000 get factored in....

There's a reason the right-leaning media and the GOP want to pretend the Kerry campaign's in trouble and needs to go negative...and it isn't because they love competition.

2. I am positive...
That he is disappearing people, in the same way that goes on in South America.

In 6 months or so we will start hearing the truth, people having been executed and dumped. It scares teh crap out of me.

9. Chimpy's running scared...not like a guy with a lead....
that's why he needs to get the Democrats to stop discussing issues and attack him personally....and that's why Marc Racicot and Ed Gillespie are pissing and moaning that the Democrats have already done so....

5. not a chance in hell
a couple reasons. bush knows better, that many many angry at him and he cannot personality wise handle critizism. but further, after watching him for a while. i think he is a coward, i think he is afraid, i think he is afraid someone is out to kill him or whatever, looking like a paranoid personality and cheney too. i think they have so isolated themselves and so fed themselves in the world of darkness it feels to me like he has a sickness in this. ya see how he jumped and over fearful of protestor in his speech. and a couple other things have made me think of this, just cant remember to give you as examples

6. what is the point of campaigning
if you are only speaking to those loyal to you? I would think you would be in the swing states trying to get undecideds.

Also, I keep hearing of this 14 mill. evangelicals that did not vote in 2000 that Rove is targeting. What is the deal with that? Just curious.

12. He has given no reason for moderates to vote FOR him....
Clearly he wants Kerry to turn them off with negative attack ads....cause he needs them to stay home and not vote.

17. sorry, my bad, it is 4 million
M Dowd spoke about it on Maher's show last week:

Dowd: Because Karl Rove thinks that if the Bush White House gets four million more evangelical votes than they did last time it ensures Bush's re-election, which means he's not his dad.

and:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/jesus/evangelicals/vote.html

excerpt:
The evangelical vote? Well, the issue isn't really whether or not evangelicals will decidedly support George W. Bush in this election. The real issue is how many will turn out to support him. In the last election, he didn't get at least 4 million votes that Bob Dole got

or just google: rove evangelical vote
