How Can ANYONE Think Bush Is More 'HONEST & ETHICAL'?
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 03:38 PM by The Nation
"In comparing the two presidential candidates, more registered voters think
President Bush
has strong leadership qualities than Kerry (65% vs. 47%), is
more honest and ethical (62% vs. 47%)
, says what he believes and not just what
people want to hear (66% vs. 42%), would trust him to make the right decisions
during an international crisis (57% vs. 44%), shares their values (54% vs.
42%), and is personally likeable (67% vs. 59%). In addition, more registered
voters think President Bush would do a better job than Sen. Kerry on various
issues: terrorism and homeland security (60% vs. 32%), the situation in Iraq
(55% vs. 37%), foreign policy (54% vs. 38%), taxes (52% vs. 38%), economy (49%
vs. 43%), education (48% vs. 42%), and gay marriage (44% vs. 36%). More
people say Sen. Kerry would do a better job than President Bush on healthcare,
including Medicare (45% vs. 43%) and the environment (50% vs. 36%)."

What are we doing wrong in getting our message out people, I just don't get it, is is that the American people are SO FUCKING STUPID, or that we have fucked up in not getting the facts to them, I DON'T GET IT.

4. Precisely
Kerry allowed himself to get Gored without going after Bush's own dishonesty-

Classic Republican projection at work- along with complicity and concealment on the part of the corporate media. The same freakin' process as 2000.

3. Just means that Goebbels- Rove has done a good job
disseminating their propaganda. Black is white, we have always been at war with Iraq... They have truly put lipstick and a prom dress on the pig.

6. How can anyone think Kerry isn't more heroic than AWOL Bush?
These are the same people who bought duct tape and plastic and fixated themselves, come on, it shouldn't be a shock that more Americans are poorly educated than educated. Poll the INTERNET users and I bet you those numbers are three fold for Kerry! Bush doesn't have a four year plan because the next four years he'll be testifying for his crimes.

Bush, no plan for tomorrow, just keep talking about your opponent.

We're WINNING folks! Don't be fooled by slanted media.

7. Religious imagery
From the altar he gave his speech on to the cross on the podium, the Christian images, especially Protestant fundy church images, were all over the place in that convention. There were Christian music performers and fundy imagery in his speech. He knows who his base is, and he speaks their language.

All this symbolism is very powerful for the fundy believer. That its use is calculated by a man who has been called the Antichrist by more than one religious leader is lost on them. He uses relgion in his campaign, therefore he must be righteous.

8. Consider the source....
THE MEDIA!

That's why the American people have these opinions. It has been spoon-fed to them by mainstream corporate (read Republican) Media. This is the reason, plain and simple.

9. Americans are not Stupid
The American public has been lied to so long they have begone to believe it. The fact that the TV used to have some standards helps FAUX news spread their lies. We have to get the truth out and then the lies will be apparent. One good thing is that people can not be convinced that they have jobs or are better of when they are not. Bu$hCO can cook the books but real people will vote the Rabid Right out in November. The only question is will Diebold be able to steal the election?

10. They don't think, that, they are lying to the pollsters

That is what a lot of folks just don't get about hardcore Bush supporters -- you can't change their minds by talking about Bush's dishonesty, etc., because they know he's lying and they like him for it, and they are lying right along with him.

So when they are asked by a pollster if Bush is 'honest and ethical', they don't say what they believe --- they lie, and give what they know is the 'right' answer for a Bush supporter.

Add the uninformed and gullible to the dishonest and you have a majority on this question.

Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 04:02 PM by seabeyond
i am as straight and say it from heart without concern. so i just dont get these things. but yes yes yes i am saying he lies and they say no hes honest, so what i need to say is you know he lies and you lie along with him. oooosh, what a concept for me. of course waiting for news all day between the storm, they once again show bush at his campaign speech. he says zell miller set an example for all democrats. (i guess he is owning him now) he is showing it is ok for democrats to come to this party, so all you democrats in the crowd, welcome. now he damn well knows there are no dems in that crowd, they are vetted, only repugs.........did it merely for this little sound bite and probably to go against the repug for kerry
