The enemy doesn't despair.
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 03:35 PM by Screaming Lord Byron
The enemy doesn't get demoralized.
The enemy doesn't lose faith.
The enemy doesn't crack.
The enemy will never, ever give in.

Don't give the enemy any more advantages than he already has.

2. The enemy is a reptile
Cold blooded, having only the basic emotions of attack, not capable of empathy or of thinking through the consequences of their actions. They are incapable of self reflection, so by definition they can never be demoralized.

Q: What's the difference between the Republican Party and Jurassic Park?

A: One is a desert island filled with cold blooded man-eating extinct reptiles. The other is a movie.

4. Don't matter to me
The enemy still bleeds and the enemy still dies. The enemy may have torn out his heart and locked it away in a cage of iron, he may have silenced his conscience with the song of greed and corruption, but he is still a man, and men are fallible. Men are not perfect. And while our foe may think that they are little tin gods, little tin gods are made of tin, and I can melt tin with a Zippo.

5. What I mean is that he doesn't so we shouldn't either.
I was just venting against the negativity here of late.

6. It isn't despair to see a problem and fix it

That's exactly what GW Bush doesn't do, and that is an advatage the Dems have over him.

Reacting to changing conditions is a sign of intelligence, something I want Kerry to point out.

Happily, it appears from new reports he is changing campaign strategy, and 58 days is plenty of time to take it to Shrub.

But, if one is looking for a "positive", Lincoln-Douglas debate end to his campaign, I think they better turn off reports about it.
