Shut up, McCain
I have truly come to LOATHE this little slimebag.

He's peddling the Big Lie that the GOP loves to employ, that everything we do is the equivalent to what they do.

They smear JK, we question Bush's fitness to lead based on his record as president-- same thing, McCain would have us believe.

JK puts his ass on the line in Viet Nam, Bush hides out in Alabama -- "both served with honor," McCain insists.

And he pulls this shit over and over again, even as he eagerly plays the role of palace whore for Bush and Cheney on the campaign trail.

What a scumbag he is.

4. I don't understand how someone like McCain...
can campaign for someone like George W Bush, who attacked McCain in 2000 on his military record.

7. Believe it or Not...
Bt McCain is working for Bush actually hoping if Bush loses that he---McCain---will be the GOP nominee for 2008.

He'd rather hold out for his no-chance political hopes of 2008 rather than endorse Kerry, whom he knows should be Prez, not Bush.

To Hell with McCain.

14. Why would Bush losing
help Mcain in 08. I would think with a Bush win, Mccain would ride his coattails in 08.

5. It's possible that McCain's defense of Kerry's record is part of a cynical
strategy to level the playing field on military service. McCain comes out against the swift boat ads, says Kerry served honorably, and undecideds say "McCain is a straight-shooter, he's right". Later, he comes out against attacks on AWOL's record, says he also served honorably, and undecideds say "McCain is a straight-shooter, he's right".

Ta Da, the service issue is equalized and neutralized.

8. McCain has one shot left to run for President
in 2008. And he has sold his soul to do it.
I used to admire him. Now, he is just like all of those other slimebags. I loathe him.

But in 4 years they'll just savage him all over again. Repukes never learn.

13. What I don't understand is why is he considered a "moderate."
Just because he is not as rabid as, say, Rush Limbag, does not make him a moderate.

12. I'm puzzled?
What I don't understand is why Kerry kept dragging MacCain's name into his speech Thursday at the VA Convention. He sounded like he wanted MacCain's endorsement.

But the way McCain's going, its not gonna happen. If he did endorsed Kerry, he could be head of Repubs for Kerry but lets face it, he isn't going to.

17. No, back then I was hanging out at the JK forum...
... gagging and retching over the corresponding McCain love-fest that was going on there at the time. Disgusting.

As for the sense of surprise that someone mentioned in another post... no "aha!" moments here. I think JK keeps McCain in the picture at all because he's hoping there's some appeal there for the "don't switch commander-in-chief during war" types.

Hope he's right. Also hope he gives McCain a sock on the jaw when all this is over. Oh, heck, land a hay-maker on Dole while yer at it, JK! Pow!

:D :D :D

23. It sure as hell wasn't a love fest from me! I knew from the getgo
that he was a conservative republican and not ANYONE I would EVER support! I was totally pissed off that there were some people on this site who was encouraging Kerry to select him as his VP!

Kerry should thank him for denouncing the swift liar ads and then condemn him for not denouncing the chimp.

19. I agree with you CarolynEC! How in the hell anyone could suggest...
we ask McCain to be Kerry's running mate just pisses me off! He is a damn conservative republican, for Christ's sakes! He has no interest in the Democratic party--he is out to get shithead Bush elected and to pave the way for himself to run in 2008 as a good republican! That is all he is doing; trying to set himself up for 2008!

McSlime just can't stand being out of the limelight. If it means kissing the asses of these wretched people in the Bush regime that's OK by him. If he does run in 2008 it will be fun to see Mr. Straight Talk really have to take some heat.

to liberal journalists for his defense of the swiftvets. She said it's because he wants the nomination in 2008.
