If The RNC/Time Poll, Etc Has You Down, Just Remember This
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 07:37 PM by stopbush
Every "triumph" that bush touches turns to shit:

Mission Accomplished - R's wet their pants over his stuffed crotch. It turned to shit.

No Child Left Behind - shit

War in Iraq - Mr War President. The war turned to shit.

Humble foreign policy - shit shit shit shit shit

Record surplus turned to deficit in 3 years - "it's your money" turned into "it's your children's problem."

9/11 - shit turned into shit

One could go on ad infinitum. The R's always, always, ALWAYS overplay their "up" moments. They are like sports fans who fill the bleachers, go ape shit when their team scores, dance around like invincible idiots...and end up sulking out of the stadium as they lose another one.

The R's will lose this one as well.

2. There's a reason why it's called a convention BOUNCE.
THEY.
DON'T.
LAST.

If Bush has an 11-point lead after a debate or two, you THEN have permission to panic.

4. Actually, those polls don't have me down at all.
What has, and continues to have, me concerned is that fact that Kerry isn't walking away with this election for all the reasons you list. Bush* HAS been a miserable failure. It is obvious to anyone who bothers to pay attention.

The fact that Bush* is now slightly ahead or slightly behind is very worrying. This shouldn't even be close.

Kerry has yet to break 50% on a consistent basis. So, he clearly hasn't sold the public that he's the man for the job. That troubles me.
