69. This is the e-mail I sent them as well as voting.

I watched both conventions all the way through on cspan, plus many repeats and clips, and I was appalled. The democratic was fine, even uplifting at times and, since the big purpose at that time was to introduce Kerry/Edwards, they did a good job.

The republican, on the other hand was downright embarrassing! Such anger and hate. I have been involved, sometimes only marginally, in politics for over forty years. My alignment is generally fiscally-very conservative, socially-centrist to left leaning.

I am not in favor of abortions or gay marriage, but I am even more adamantly against government intrusion into these matters.
We need to pick up, dust off and set going again our less fortunate fellow travelers on this road.

I was also ashamed of the terrible lies that even I, who voted for Nixon and Reagan, can prove with only a modicum of reading and research. I may not vote for Kerry, but I am so ashamed of this crew that I am beginning to doubt that I'm going to vote for Bush, either.
