6. It's in the NYTimes
The conversation and the recruitment of old Clinton hands came amid rising concern among Democrats about the state of Mr. Kerry's campaign and criticism that he had been too slow to respond to attacks on his military record or to engage Mr. Bush on domestic policy. Among the better-known former Clinton aides who are expected to play an increasingly prominent role are James Carville, Paul Begala and Stanley Greenberg, campaign aides said.

16. They say it's an expansion, not a replacement
My guess is Mary Beth will be kept on, but sidelined.

18. That's how I read it - an expansion ...
...I didn't get that Kerry is getting rid of anyone, just expanding his 'team'

I hope Carville makes mincemeat outta those Repig hypocrites. And I'm SOO glad Clinton is talking to Kerry!!! I hope he's around a long time so he can KEEP talking to Kerry too.

17. Why can't he just put General Clark
In the postition to respond to all "military lies and smears" so he can get on with the job of campaigning on the issues. "If anyone has a problem with my military service or for that matter AWOL military ask the General", now about healthcare, economy, education. Next question? Swiftboat question?, ask the General back to National Security, veterans benefits.

24. I hope they're on the stick about the ads coming out this week!!
Those are openly intended to be John Kerry's Willie Horton. :scared:

Call the DNC and Kerry campaign about the new 527 moveonforamerica.org if you haven't already. They need to be prepared and pre-empt if possible. The first ad airs Tuesday in battleground states.

www.moveonforamerica.org

The commercials are there as well as the bio of the founder, Stephen Marks. The site was registered on 8/25. The first ad airs this coming Tuesday. It's all there.

26. Stan Greenberg is the absolutely KEY to the whole race!!
Stan Greenberg's polling absolutely ROCKS! He presented his polling results with wicked analysis at the Take Back America Conference in June and it was as if he was channeling Dean. In fact, what he was doing was telling us that the American people ABSOLUTELY want to hear the messages Dean brought to the table, which can be delivered beautifully by Kerry, of course. Greenberg can target issues like nobody else, including anybody the Republicans have on their side. I don't underestimate Carville's skill at verbal slash and burn but Greenberg is the concealed targeting device that can point everyone in the campaign in the right direction and keep them firing the right message every time!

27. what Carville is great at
is discipline of message. He's not a campaign manager, but is amazingly skilled. Greenberg is a great pollster. They will work very well together.
