Converting US Dollar value from 1850 to 2004: Anyone know how to do this?
Or where I might look? The most recent value conversion I could find was 1850 to 1991.

1. Double convert
Convert from 1860 to 1991. Then convert from 1991 to 2004.

There should be a 1991 to 2004 table somewhere.

6. Try this site.
http://oregonstate.edu/dept/pol_sci/fac/sahr/sahr.htm

Go about 1/4 down the page. Looks like a file that will convert from 1800 to 2003.

7. If you type 'inflation calculator"
in any search engine, you should be able to find something like that.
