NBC's The Today Show (Lauer and Scarborough) GOT THE MEMO!
Lauer:Coming out of the Dem Convention when Kerry didn't get a bounce the Democrats were saying that that was because there was no bounce to have with independent voters (smiles) but now there really is a bounce with independents AND Dems who are going to vote for Bush apparently.

Banjo boy:Yes many Democrats that I have talked to are very upset about the way the Kerry campaign has been handling things. This 11 point lead for Bush isn't going to make them very happy.

Lauer: Yes this 11 point lead for Bush shows that apparently (eyes get real big) there ARE a lot of people who saw Bush's message and liked it.

Banjo boy:I have talked to many Democrats who say that they are going to vote for Bush-even though they don't like him much-because they see that he is the man for the job.

Lauer:The Republican convention seemed to be as much about Kerry as it was about Bush which I have to say was much like the Democratic convention was more about Bush than Kerry....

Banjo:I think people are seeing that Kerry really isn't up for the job as this 11 point lead shows

Lauer: Now about your book.......

I understand that ABC's GMA didn't mention anything but the 11 point lead either.

3. I think this also leads into the "Kerry campaign shake up" BS
I didn't see a single article about that it came right out of the RW noise machine and has made its way into the discussion.

BIG LIE goals
1.Accepted as truth
2.No longer questioned
3.At least enters into the discussions (in the form of "yeah but..."s and "...we can't forget...."s)

4. They have stated exactly how this has to be played now
"because they see that he is the man for the job." Bush* has to be knocked down a few pegs before people will consider firing him. Kerry can talk economy all he wishes but people will still vote Bush* unless they are convinced he is not worthy. We must attack the Bush* Cabal or lose.

12. Hold your fire!!!!!!!!
Sit tight folks. Wait until bush's convention bounce completely "disappears" (I'd wait until Wednesday or so), and THEN write NBC (and everyone else) and demand that they cover the fact that bush's support is very weak, as his bounce has DISAPPEARED in just 5 days. This is NEWS folks. Never in the history of the world has a politician completely completely lost a convention polling bounce of greater than 10 points in such a short period. This portends further drops in the near future. And so forth.

Spin it to our advantage!

13. Ah, let them have their fun. Earlier NECN
(New England Cable News) was saying that Bush's lead is "at least 11%!" I guess I should expect nothing better from a network run by Comcast.

14. why do they even have him on at all?
is he a political analyst? No, he's a propagandist that already has his own program. And that program should have been cancelled, and Joe should be off the air permanently, for his ethical breach involving his law partner.

20. Judy Woodruff accidentally said on air there were "problems" with the 11%
polling bounce story. She looked sheepish having let the cat out of the bag instead of drowning it as instructed.

Michael Moore (and everyone) should be screaming about the press fraud as it happens to minimize its effectiveness in the chess game of deception we call an election campaign.

Oh, what a bunch of crap. I love it when they out-and-out lie like this because instead of getting upset, I have a big long laugh.
