Who knows anything about the right wing group protestwarrior?
I have got one of their members posting to my blog. From what I can tell they are a bunch of young white punks who like to go to protests and mock and ridicule the protesters. I am going to write an article on the group and post it here. Any information would be helpful, especially if anyone here has had any contact with any of their members at protests. Thanks.

www.conservativefighter.blogspot.com

You can read the posts here, it is under the entry titled freedom fighters where I posted praise for the Bush speech protesters and this guy, Matthew, started putting in his two cents.

1. it looks to me they impersonate Liberals and Dems to make us look bad, ...
out of touch or foolish, as in the NYC protest where they carried signs, "Communists for Kerry".

2. Be sure to mention
How these "warriors" find every excuse not to go where the real fight is, that is, Iraq.

7. That was one of my questions to Matthew
It seems that they use very militaristic terms in their group. They are "warriors" and they go on "missions" with "codenames" like "Operation Wolverine". They emulate the machismo of the military but, from what I can tell, they look like a bunch of smart ass white college kids who have no intention of ever serving this country by laying their asses on the line physically.

18. PW kryptonite
Next protest that they threaten to crash, the organizers should get some military recruiters in full dress uniforms to follow them around with enlistment forms.

They won't be a problem then.

4. Here's some stuff.
Exposed

The hosts of the Unfiltered radio show on AirAmericaRadio.com interviewed the co-founders of ProtestWarrior, and they were intellectually b*tch-slapped live on-the-air. Perhaps you could try to contact Rachel Maddow or Lizz Winstead for an interview or MP3 of the interview.

They are knuckle-draggers, but put enough of them in a room together...

6. Protest Warriors
They show up at protests to try to instigate violence & then plead with the cops for protection. They showed up at the ANSWER rally outside the Garden on the last day of the RNC. See http://www.nyc.indymedia.org for witness accounts of these incidents with the Protest Warriors.

10. If you read through the 'Exposed' link...
You'll see that the guy who made the web page is a veteran and they made fun of him, wouldn't believe he was a lefty veteran, (even though he even posted scans of his i.d.), and generally made asses out of themselves.

It is so like the right wingnuts to attack a veteran because he doesn't agree with their fascist philosophy.

You don't have to be running for office for Repubs to attack your service, huh?

Truly pathetic.

24. I see they both went to film school. Which tells you two things:
1) That they would favor fantasy versions of reality, especially wars, "heroism," and whatnot, is not a surprise

2) They almost certainly came from wealthy or at least upper-middle class backgrounds. Note that one went to USC, otherwise known (and apologies to any USC graduates for whom this isn't the case, as I'm sure there are, but_ as "University of Spoiled Children." at any rate, film school is EXPENSIVE. and somehow I'm guessing they didn't get scholarships for their dazzling talent or underepresented backgrounds...

Before that one of them was a computer engineer working in Silicon Valley...not exactly the blue-collar heartland there, is it. Probably read a lot of Ayn Rand in college, is my guess.

25. ...sure enough, I read a little further and: Star Wars t-shirts.
without copyright, natch. just another couple of whiteboy geeks with too much time on their (hairy) hands, stunted emotional maturity, and a sneaking suspicion that there's really nothing terribly interesting about them, deep down.

19. They rip off Lucasfilms
The rockingrev page told of how they are selling a T Shirt with Star Wars images. When questioned about it, they said they don't care about breaking the law.

I guess when you can't make a living legitimately, it's ok to steal. That's good ol' Merkn core values fer ya'

It would be a shame if lucasfilm lawyers were contacted about the copyright violations, though wouldn't it?

20. Please do
Folks like Lucas films have lawyers on staff just to pursue copyright violations.

It will put a crimp in their style, if nothing else.

21. And they apparently travel around quite a bit....
I don't think they're doing that on the proceeds from ripping off Star Wars...

The stench of the vast resources of the Neo-cons wafts off these guys.

12. I believe that I saw some of them at the NYC protest
There were a several of them protesting the demonstration from the sidewalk near the intersection of 9th Ave and 33rd Street. They were yelling at the bush demonstrators, and eventually they had a dozen NY PD officers guarding them. I do have several photo's of this, and I will try to upload them to this thread tomorrow.

Several blocks south of that intersection there was a real odd sight. Pro-bush protesters with professionally produced signs were protesting from within a barricaded square which was within a barricaded rectangle that went from intersection to intersection, sidewalk to sidewalk. Obviously, they were placed there on purpose in what could only be described as an extremely confrontational location.

I was using disposable camera's so the pictures are not very good, butt I will try to post them anyway. If successful, they will be my first uploaded pictures <crosses fingers>

I love this site.

I spent most of my time up front near the speakers. My favorite speaker was the man who said "gimmee a Fuck Bush right quick" Well, as you know, he got one. And, right quick!

14. Just read something about them. Started by an Israeli-American
in SF who took his girlfriend's advice, that if you're so sick of all these liberals, then do something about it. And he did. They seem very over the top. Very unreasonable fellows.
