maybe we should lay off bashing Bush
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 01:58 PM by G_j
not really! but since so many seem think it is all about "Bush hating", I'd like to see more focus on the ghoulish band of orcs surrounding him: Ashcroft, Cheney, Perle, Rumsfeld, a slew of Iran/Contra criminals etc.

Its not hard to imagine that Kerry would surround himself with infinitely better, saner people. Does anyone else think this a good talking point?

1. Yes... would it make sense for Kerry to announce a cabinet?
Or is that simply not done?

3. I sort of like the idea
even if it was just to name some ppl being considered, in particular to replace Ashcroft and Rumfsfeld who are very unpopular.

2. Not Orcs, Nazgul
And Sauron only had Nine Nazgul, Bush has at least twice that many.

4. I stand corrected :-)
Nazgul is more accurate. The freeper minions are more like the orcs.

5. I'd love to see stories about neoconservatism
in the major media. Expose their misguided ideology.

6. it occurred to me that

the big story is really not (or shouldn't be) solely about Bush as a personality but also the people who put him where he is, and those who now occupy the most important positions in the admin.
For some reason (not comprehensible to me) some folks seem to think W is a 'good guy'.
OK, then lets take a good look at the extremist neocon wackos controlling and subverting the US government.
meme? "Kerry will clean out the extremists and surround himself with highly respected, down to earth, SANE people"

7. The focus should be on his admin. too
He definitely chose the wrong people. He chose Cold War experts. The result was ignoring OBL pre 9/11

We the people can create an issue that brings the media to us using viral and guerilla marketing techniques. Guerilla marketing means we disseminate our message using non-traditional delivery systems. Viral marketing means that the message creates buzz and it propagates exponentially. The computer ushered in the age of print and web based media accessibility to the masses. We are paying a lot of attention to online media and ignoring the most far reaching: PRINT media.
An example of an effective print piece highlighting Bush's failure and most importantly MOCKING him in the process:

high resolution version for printing here:

Put them on car windshields. Hand them out on street corners. Drop them on driveways in the suburbs where the frightened inhabitants are sure to contact the authorities.

We don't need TV buys to get some attention on this issue. We all are potential disseminators of printed media. We do not need a newspapers permission or lots of money for TV commercials. We all have access to printers, photocopiers and paper. Many of us are very talented users of PhotoShop or Freehand. We all can create print ads like the one above. If we the people can create a buzz with massive distribution of printed ads I guarantee you it will garner media coverage. The possibilities are endless regarding this type of grass roots guerilla marketing. Kerry is our product, Bush is the product we must crush by diminishing.

The Bush administration's complete INCOMPETENCE is key to undermining his strength.

a Walmart parking lot comes to mind. :-)

Not that I've ever done it myself, but I've HEARD that ppl have snuck subversive literature inside our local newspaper. In fact it got the newspaper VERY upset.

8. This cabinet is like an idiot surrounded by morons
the blind misleading those with their eyes closed. They are a collective group of losers. We are running against the entire group, not just the misleader. I say tee off on the whole bunch. Naming specific cabinet replacements may be too risky though. It's always looked upon as arrogant.
