How Barbara Bush ran over a Guatamalan with her golf cart and tried to compensate the grieving family with "colorful beads." How George Bush senior went whoring with Sam Peckinpah in Mexico during pre-production of The Wild Bunch. The Elvis White Panty Parties that the teenage Bush twins would reenact for the sordid entertainment of Prince Bandhar on "Saudi Night" at the Crawford ranch. Laura Bush smoking Kools and nagging her husband about how come the ranch isn't staffed with "strapping bucks" like the plantation in Mandingo. And then there is the chapter devoted to George Bush's lost years in the National Guard, and his special bunkmate, who knew the ingredients of a great rubdown.

But I think we should wait for the book itself before chipping in to buy Kitty a tiara and crown her our Queen. We have been disappointed before hoping this book (Richard Clarke's) or that (Ron Suskind's) would diminish the boyish charm of George Bush in the public's eyes.

Nevertheless, I've preordered my copy and urge all Americans and illegal immigrants to do likewise.

10. The problem with the other books..................

is they are being read by people who keeep informed and therefore are VERY likely, anti-Bush, if not outright huge Kerry supporters. Therefore, not a big bump to the rank and file informed voter, who already knew enough about Bush to vote Kerry.

However, Kelley's book will appeal to so-called soccer moms, the bridge club and lunch ladies and the beauty shop devotees who generally vote for "cute" (though I find that laughable) or however their husband is voting. They will read this book or at least the National Enquirer et al. excerpts.

Besides that, the gossip mill will probably inflate the stuff to high heaven. These are the people we need to break through to, the ones who don't vote with any form of logic.

We only need to keep the flames fanned until November 2. Surely, to most "undecided" types (and what thinking, informed voter can possibly be undecided) those who decide on the way to the polls, this should really be a ripe audience for Kelley.
