If anybody needed proof that Bush-bots are assholes
The Bush supporters did not let up shouting while an elderly woman who had several throat surgeries tried to tell her tale, prompting Senator
Bush supporters drunk on Busch beer taunted Kerry with Rove-scripted chants... but I'll bet they think they're good, compassionate Christians.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5445086

Kerry to say to the cameras and the crowd, "While the Bush people were rudely shouting...a 70-year old woman was trying to tell the story of how she has to go out and work because she needs to take pills."

A Bush supporter yelled "Where is your swift boat?"

When Kerry was asked questions about the policy in Iraq, this is how he responded. "Let me tell you. I would not have done just one thing differently that the President on Iraq. I would have done everything differently than the president on Iraq. Everything I'm saying to you is not Monday morning quarterbacking. I said, "Mr. President don't rush to war...take the time to build a legitimate coalition and a plan to build the peace." He's cost all of you 200 billion that could have gone to healthcare...schools....prescription drugs. When they talk about a coalition that's the phoniest thing I ever heard...it's American troops that are 90 percent of the combat casualties...it's the wrong war, in the wrong place at the wrong time...I will bring other countries to our side. I will do a better job at fighting a more effective war on terror."

Bush supporters started yelling "flip flop" over and over.

1. Part of first paragraph didn't copy and I can't edit...

2. had a co-worker once who was a 'good compassionate..
Christian'...he was the meanest, most bigoted, mysogenist, narrow-minded, stupid SOB I've ever seen in my life - except for GWB, of course...

8. The GOP bots are assholes but
they at least got into a Kerry rally to speak their piece. It is a given that hecklers like that are self-serving, non-compassionate wonks who are probably on Rove's payroll for just this purpose. When Rove can turn out a half a million people to march in protest then maybe he's on to something.

Bush wraps himself in cotton wool, throwing in jail anyone who dares to protest at his rallies. I wish Kerry had pointed that out to the jerks - for the cameras.

10. What does "wraps in cotton wool" mean?
I've never heard that expression before. :)

13. Well, now you got me thinking
I thought my grandmother always used the phrase that someone is "wrapped in cotton wool" to mean a person needed extra special wrapping (no bubble wrap or Styrofoam peanuts for BoyGeorge) because the person is so dainty and thin skinned he needed to be protected from life and/or all hardships.

Now, I must confess, I don't know if that is what she really said, if I just heard it that way, or I've totally screwed up the phrase completely and it is something entirely different. It has been in my family's lexicon for years so maybe I just co-opted the words for my own use when my kids were little. Anyway, I mean Bush is just too delicate to have to face anyone who might disagree with him.

Maybe a DUer can set us both straight.

5. I like seeing that publicized. The Repubs actually think stories like this
help them. I guess we'll see in November whether the people really believe in principles like free speech and democracy...

11. That's right -- says a lot about him, and about them
It's just disgraceful how they treat the openness of his events. The contrast alone should tell them something about their candidate, and themselves.

12. And this is how they act with a double digit lead in the polls
If you believe that sort of thing. While these folks are exceedingly rude, I don't think they're stone stupid. They know they're going to lose in two months, and they're determined to make as big a stink as they can until then. And then after.
