So when does Bush's insider trading at Harkin get brought out?
We're getting AWOL out, his cocaine habit/bust is being vetted, and his girlfriend's abortion has had some play.

Isn't it time that we delve into Bush's business acumen (or lack thereof)? Seems to me that this is just a continuation of the real George Bush that was also buried by the corporate media in the last election. Knowing his willingness to break the law to make a buck, why should we be surprised when he sets a national agenda to screw the American people?

1. Good point
Martha's going to jail for making a lot less profit on exactly the same kind of scam against government oversight.

5. And think about this...
The Republicans put 45 million of taxpayer dollars into the Clinton investigations, yet they originally budgeted 3 million to investigate 9/11. Some arm-twisting and politicking from the families managed to get that final number up to 12 million.

I'd love to hear someone try to explain that one to me.

6. Clintons lost money on Whitewater.
Bush made $850,000 unloading Harkin stock based on inside info that earnings would be restated downward.

4. There is much more than that ! "Eminent Domain"
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 09:30 PM by wurzel
As governor of Texas he had people ejected from their homes to build his baseball stadium. using "eminent domain". No "news network" would even listen to them. Then there was some scam about privatizing a University which was reported on BBC by a reporter they sent to Texas. The BBC actually sent a reporter to Texas while not a single American network did!

7. That was the first thing I learned about him
And I've despised him every since. He stole people's land (using taxpayer's dollars to get it condemned and bought!) for his private investments around the Rangers stadium. That's where he got the money for the fake ranch.

And he was just so proud of himself.

I hope Kitty hits on this and on Harkin.

11. He also got Texas taxpayers to pony up $200 million for the stadium.
Privatize the profit, socialize the cost; it's the Republican way. :grr:

14. Bush should release his papers on Harken. Let's see WHO made the Bin Laden
deal and how it came about that Bush would sell his shares to someone who Kerry's efforts on BCCI put under arrest at around that same time.

15. Something tells me this is where Kerry's going to hammer Bush
in October. Kerry knows the whole sordid Bush family history and their dealings with Saudi financiers. I wish the facts were not so complex because this goes to the heart of Bush's inability to investigate the financial aspects of ME terror.
