What can a Norwegian do to get Kerry elected?
I mean the man has family ties over here (so does Karl Rove, actually), so I want to help.

Anything I can do? So far I'm only writing letters to TV and radio channels who (un)knowingly misrepresent events. Like when someone said that Bush was a good guy because he wished Bill Clinton well, but "forgot" to say that the crowd BOOED when Clinton was mentioned. You know.. minor things like that :)

There aren't really any absurdly biased channels over here, of the likes of Fox News, so there's not really any corporate sponsors to campaign against either.

Anything short of selling my new apartment and donating the money, I'm willing and able to do.

2. Norwegian friend - Thank you for your support
Please tell your family and friends that many of us here in America are not idiots and are trying very hard for regime change.

Your support is appreciated.

I'm an American living in the Netherlands, and we have buttons and cards that we hand out to all the non-Americans. I'm sure TELLANAMERICANTOVOTE.COM will send you materials.

4. Good ideas

But the tourist season is over, and the only guy I think may be an American exchange-student insists that he is Canadian. :D

We Norwegians can't donate to the Democrats directly.

10. Donate to DU...
I'm Costa Rican and I can't do much to help Kerry get elected, except ask my friend in San Francisco several times whether he is registered to vote and planning to do it.

And non-US citizens can't donate, so we can't do much directly. Donate to DU or other liberal websites/organizations that accept donations from foreigners... it will help!!

15. I'm an atheist.
So I'm not quite sure who I'd pray to.

I guess I can only cross my fingers (ironically enough) and hope you realise if we can't fix a problem ourselves, then the problem can't be fixed.

14. Campaign finance experts: is it legal to donate to a 527?
Or must praxiz be an American citizen?

THAT'd be a HUGE loophole.. imagine money from the entire rest of the world funnelling in. We'd be able to buy entire one-hour blocks of primetime television once a week to address a different topic each week!

It sounds too good to be true.. one can dream..

I know nothing about this organization, but maybe you could get in touch with them:

A lot of people here think the absentee ballot vote is going to be very important this year.
