Are You Listening to Goddamn Fineman this Morning??????????
Flipped on to MSNBC and Fineman was on the phone with Imus. Would have flipped off but it all caught my attention real fast. Let me blow off steam a minute....these bastards.

First, Howard was apparently under the Newsweek/Time Poll influence instead of the newer polls that show Bush with no more than a 2% bounce. He's going on and on about the new people joining Kerry's campaign which then means it is all in disaray and going down the tubes, doomed, etc. He faults Kerry for having a number of advisors unlike the great Bush who has had only 4-5 his whole career while Kerry runs things in the overall. (Hey, honey, with Bush it's called handlers because he is a coke snorting, stupid asshole). He's talking about how bad Kerry's campaign is and is just pathetic, etc.

Then Imus says that Carville and Begala really want Kerry to lose. Howard disagrees and says they loath Bush, etc. Imus says they want him to lose because they make more money that way, etc. This goes on back and forth and finally they all come to the agreement that Bagala and Carville are supporting Kerry because they know he will lose and thus, make way for Hilary.

Finally, Imus growls "about this Kelley book that's coming out". Howard plays the "oh yes I've sorta of heard about that...Newsweek was given a chance to buy excerpts but we passed because it is a Kelley book and apparently the only witness is 'some' ex-sister in law, blah, blah". Imus says "so he snorted coke at Camp David---big deal". He tells how he, Imus, snorted coke big time in his past. He says it's a neat thing to do out there in the woods. Fineman does say "but he was 42-43 at the time". Imus quick chimes in and says that the best age to do it, etc. In other words, don't let the point get out that a few years after his so-called 'conversion' he's up to his armpits in drugs and booze, etc. and thus is ripping off the holy rightwingers.

Finally Imus asks Howard who will win. Fineman said he really doesn't know (but you're trying your goddamnest, aren't you Howard?). Imus finally tells the nation that Bush is going to win, no if's, and's or but's. I'm furious not because I believe these pigs but because these pigs are gently working the crowd and planting the notion that this is "all over". I noticed in one of those polls that the really committed to vote, fired up Dems has fallen from a high of 68 in June to 60 right now. They want to make sure it's 2 by election time.

1. I saw all that crap...
and thought, you will listen to the shift-boat vermin, despite all of the official documents, but you are too upstanding to hear the account of a former sister-in-law, in regards to * who practically admitted to drug use. I hate the media whores!

2. what is so beyond frustrating is that they want to block out all
other polling (even the 'great' Gallup--well known to everyone)and just now go into their corporate directed drumbeat of "it is over"...."it is over".....stay home and not vote because "it is over". How the hell do you fight against this shit? It means as Kerry's ads blast on tv now, the average American will smirk and not listen because "it is over"..........

3. Imus Blows...
If Kerry sweeps up in the polls, watch this lizzard claim he's undecided again.

I knew his "support" of Kerry was lip service and only based on that Kerry would appear on his show, and Imus thought he could snag interviews and scoops with his "pal" like he did with Joementum Lieberman and Clinton in '92. Imus would love if Kerry kissed up, and he hasn't, Imus is now pissed. I heard him bitch that Kerry's train crossed Imus' ranch and didn't stop...that pissed the old bastard off. Screw 'em all.

A NYC buddy explained it best to me. A lot of Imus listeners are Archie Bunker types...symbolized by the moron, racist Bernard McGuirk...who love to piss and moan and beat their fat chests, but when it comes down to voting, their union men and vote Democrat out of pure genetics. Yes, there are those outside NY who may be swayed by this crap, but my bets are more heads are being turned and votes being decided by listeners to Howard Stern.

4. IMR---when I first Imus so-called "supporting Kerry",
I could just hear it in his voice and see it in is mannerisms that he was literally baiting a trap. In other words, come about October he's going to start the "it just awful...I tell you, god awful this stupid inept Kerry", blah, blah. I'll guarantee you it's coming.

5. Let's See Where The Polls Are...
Imus took a lot of nasty shots at Bunnypants earlier this year. He was particularly pissed at the AWOL story and the Iraq war. These have faded, thus the flavor of the moment is on Kerry and thus where Imus is playing on.

Your scenario could very well play out if the race is close, but if Kerry opens up a lead, I'll bet he panders his ass to see if he can look like he supported Kerry all along.

Great post!

Cheers

8. it's official. the media is declaring bush the winner.
now g.e. can keep making weapons systems. disney can enjoy tax breaks. fox can continue buying television stations.

the only reason to vote is to let bush know how many millions of people despise him and will do whatever possible to undermine him and his policies.

10. incap--it isn't so much that it's the Imus show, it's that it seems the
media's marching orderd today as everyone gets back to work is that "Kerry is finished because the polls show him 10,00000 points behind Bush". There's this crap and then there is a NYTimes piece posted here....all with the same "it's over crap". They have been told to let people know that while they were away for the Labor Day weekend, Kerry lost.

12. I agree..
CNN, before they got the latest from their own poll showing a mere 2 point bump, had the caption "Kerry's Slide" all day long. They are trying to proclaim him dead, no doubt. But they won't get much mileage out of it, it's a boring story. Even the biased media wants this to be close so it has something to yak about for the next 2 months.

11. What is it going to take to get rid of that Hillary crap? -m
Damn, I'm sick of hearing it.

What else can the woman do to prove she's eager to see Kerry elected and Bush gone? It doesn't seem to matter what she says or does; she's going to be blamed regardless.

14. Let them fume
The most enjoyable vote I ever cast was for Hillary. She get's the last laugh despite their four year campaign to turn her into The Evil Witch From Hell. I bet she would win if she does wind up running, they should be careful what they wish for, heh.

13. I dunno - I think Imus and Fineman helped Kerry with these comments!
Nothing outrages middle America more than listening to snotty talking heads defend drug abuse. Seriously. They hate it.

Nothing could be a quicker turn-off to shrub than the impression that he used drugs and nobody on TV cares.

15. I agree, it's absurd
Dismissing his "bad english" is one thing, saying that the President snorting coke is nothing to be bothered about, even cool, isn't going to sell to the average voter!

16. You still have to admit we are not where we wanted to be right now.
If I could have pressed a magic button on July 20 and been told "In early September, one candidate will be showing a strong lead over the other in a Time Magazine poll," Ida believed it woulda been our side.

Ida said, "Yah, we're breaking through. This is 1980 again, people are fed up with the incumbent."

Kerry has an uphill battle because he has two opponents, Bush and the willing press.

Let us hope that all it will take to gain back the big mo will be a poll showing K ahead by 8.

Imus just wants be on the side that's winning at any given moment.

17. Just remember that these are the same clowns who said
that Dean was going to win the Dem Primary, no doubt about it.

I really liked Dean, and sent him money and all that, but Kerry's ability to "close the deal" is evident from the Dem Primary.

The idiots like Fineman and Imus and clueless as hell. They were reporting, very early on, that Lieberman would be our Dem nominee.

Clueless.

22. So, IMUS has changed his mind about who he's supporting?
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 10:40 AM by in_cog_ni_to
That was predicted last week when he was whining about the Democrats convention compared to the repuke fest.....IMUS ACTUALLY SAID THAT ZELL MILLER'S SPEECH WAS "VERY POWERFUL" arggggggghhhhhh! Very interesting remark by a supposed KERRY supporter! :grr: I expect this kind of crap from Fineman, but IMUS said he was supporting KERRY. Damn these people.

And that theory about Carville, Begala and Hillary is total BULLSHIT and they know it!

When did the chimp supposedly become "born again?" What year was it? Anyone know?
