Thank You Wisconsin! Kerry Wins Big On Radio Poll
I just listened to an open-line phone poll conducted via Wisconsin Public Radio...a statewide network. The host gave people 30 seconds to state their preference. The results of this morning's poll was:

Kerry: 49 Callers
Bunnypants: 19 Callers
Nader: 5 Callers
Kohn/Liberatarian: 1 Caller

The pleasure was to hear all the pro-Kerry calls that came from all over the state...from Duluth to the north to, my surprise, Rockford, IL (bedrock Repugnican land) and everywhere in between. Lots of callers from LaCrosse, Green Bay and Eau Claire...almost ALL Kerry.

Almost every Kerry caller also had a different issue and reason for their support. The biggest were the economy and the Iraq invasion. One lady said her Christian morals prevent her from voting for a man whose killed so many innocent people. The environment also was big then health care/social security.

When I initially tuned in the poll was near even...but then Kerry calls began to roll. The * supporters sounded tepid at best. Most reasons for hating Kerry were your hate radio talking points and it sounded more like they were supporting Bunnypants because they have to, not that they really want to. One said "well, he's a liar, but he's decisive"...I wouldn't put that on a bumper sticker.

After the week of Kerry bashing and GOOP whoring, my visit to Wisconsin last weekend (we spent Saturday & Sunday driving around the southern part, including Madison)...I saw a lot of Kerry support building around the state and heard it from people who I talked to. Now hearing this an hour ago, it makes me feel a lot better about how things really are.

Kudos to the fine folks in Wisconsin. I felt very proud to hear so many Democrats calling in and re-inforcing many of my core beliefs are shared by so many.

Cheers!

2. Now...This Is Public Radio
Ya know...intelligent people who can express themselves coherantly. I know, it's the "elite" and this was the choir preaching to the choir. But it sure was refreshing to hear all the different voices with some different, positive reason for supporting Kerry.

5. I Had To Calm Down Friends
This last week seemed to shake many of the "believers"...worried that Kerry was becoming Dukakis and McGovern. I hadn't noticed the change, but I guess they did.

I knew August was going to be hell. The GOOP had 70 million to spread around and we're gunning for the spotlight. They got it, now they have to keep it. They've played on emotions, but that only goes so far...people will burn out on that, and I sense Bunnypants fatigue could be a big factor in the weeks ahead...people just getting tired of this bastard.

Change is definitely in the air. That always favors the challenger. I'm feeling more like 1980 here all the time.

Cheers

4. IMR---are there any new polls (post RNC) out yet in Wisconsin??
I know things were nail biting there. Keep an eye out in the Madison and Milwaukee papers and let us know if you see anything. Thanks.

6. Realpolitics.com is a great site
They keep the latest polls in the battlegrounds and then do a composite.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with upcoming polls throughout the Midwest. This regime hasn't addressed the key issues for these states and the votes will show it.

A political acquaintance pointed out something very interesting...states where the military are big will always go Repugnican...since so much money is tied to this war and the industries that thrive off the military control the state governments.

Thus, Missouri, West Va. and Tennessee are of interest to me. If Kerry swings any of those three, this regime is in major trouble.
