SUVs, W04 stickers, and the left lane
Why is it that 75% of the time that I am blocked by some bozo going 10mph less than the speed limit in the left lane of the interstate, it's an SUV with a big W04 sticker on the back windshield?

Is it because the average Bush supporter is a selfish asshole?

5. no
It's because the average Bush supporter is a selfish asshole that can't drive due to a shockingly low IQ. Not to mention it's harder for them to drive, knuckle dragging arms and such.

But I have seen lots of SUV's with KERRY EDWARDS stickers on them here in Southern California!!

Not everyone who drives an SUV is a bad person.

yes.

On edit: Not just the SUV part, but the part about them feeling entitled to drive anywhere and anyhow they see fit.

4. More common is the tailgater
who wants to go 90 mph in a 55 mph zone when I'm "only" going 80. When they pass, sure enough, there's the Bush-Cheney sticker.

6. Maybe you should stop trying to do 100?
Because in my part of the world, when I see an Urban Assault Vehicle with a "W '04" stcker, it IS in the left lane, but blasting past me at 80-85MPH....

Makes it easy to make the "Teenie Peenie" sign at them as they blow past...

14. The purpose of the left lane...
...is not for slow drivers to regulate the speed limit of others.

I'm not sure about other states, but in Washington, you can get a ticket for holding up traffic in the left lane, even if you're going exactly the speed limit. It is meant for passing people, and if a driver is going ten below the limit, he should not be in that lane.

9. I see the opposite ...
SUV's and/or Beemer's with W04 bullshit on 'em ... going +10 over the speed limit, no turn signals, cutting people off, running red lights ... you know, the usual Republican law abiding, dignity and family values .... :eyes:

Ugh. We have those repulsive W04 stickers here as well and almost always on an Excursion or Suburban, and the rat-bastard Republicans almost always have a cell phone stuck to their ear. :(

12. inconsiderate pigs...
...same happens to me all the time, that, and they get up right behind you on the freeway - with their Sherman Tank of a vehicle, headlights on bright, and tailgate you all the way down the road. I STAY in the Right lane because I typically try to drive the speed limit. If the a**hole wants to go 80-90 in a 65, then (S)HE should get in the Left lane.

But nooooooooooooooooooo. Mistah/Miss bu$hit/Cheney with their SUV would rather get up on your ass and tailgate you in the Right lane with brights on. EXCUSE MOI? It's pure arrogance and attempts at intimidation.

When they pull this shit, I typically slow down about 5 MPH. MAKE them go around me and get in the damned Left lane like they should anyway.

I'm afraid their headlights are brighter than they'll ever be and they're just inconsiderate, pigs, bullies, who drive their Tanks because they have small brains and in the case of the male of the species, small penises, they gotta make up for their pea-brains somehow.

15. I see inconsiderate drivers of all political persuasions...

Although I got to admit, that the "speed enforcer" types I see (you know, cars going the speed limit or just below in the left lane, lly beside someone in the right lane going the same speed) usually seem to have religious stickers of some sort. I haven't noticed nearly as many W stickers this year as Kerry/Edwards or anti-Bush ones. I do seem to be seeing more anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage ones, though, lately.

"Ever notice that when you look at the people with Kerry/Edwards stickers, they have a calm look on their face, and sometimes a smile? With the "Swastika '04" crowd, they either drive too slow, drive too fast, exhibit road rage or have a sour grump look on their face."

Sure enough, she was right, and I had plenty of space to make that observation.

Here's another one - during the trip and away from my state, the KE stickers outnumbered the "Swastika '04" stickers by almost 7 - 1 . . . until we got back to Ah-HI-ah. Then the */Snake-Oil '04 stickers started appearing in mass abundance.

I mean . . . it's truly dumbfounding. How the hell can ANY Ohioan support Bush when he has an economic team that supports and welfares the very fatasses responsible for gutting the state's manufacturing, steel and industrial base (and thusly, entire communities) while walking away with huge bonuses? Do they not care about the massive job losses this state suffered (and continues to suffer)?

25. Sounds like you live in Ohio, too.
I've come, over the years living here, to think I understand part of the problem with Ohio.

Do a little experiment. Turn on your radio in your car. Put it on the AM band. Hit 'scan' and stop on each radio station. Listen for ten minutes, or however long it takes to get past the advertising segment, and ask yourself what the political slant of the station is.

Then turn on FM, during the morning rush hour, and do the same thing -- listen to the personalities on the air.

You'll find that most AM stations are hateful, and most FM stations are staffed, at least in the morning, by ignorant jackasses who think the height of humor is paying people to have sex in churches, or having a lottery of women trying to get pregnant first to win a contest.

I had to give up on radio years ago because I got so sick of the FM guys all making fun of anything even vaguely progressive. AM radio is all hate shows. Ohio is the worst -- we never even turn on the radio until we're far out of state. But lots of people listen to the radio when they're in the car -- and that's what's being fed to them, whether they claim, 'oh, I just put it on for noise, I don't actually listen to Rush Limbaugh' or not.

26. Right on
I have done a lot of political tabling. After a while you can pretty well predict who will turn out to be a repug. THey don't smile, or enjoy the scenery. Mostly they walk around with a sneer on their faces. Perhaps they are trying to be like cheney.

21. Same sh!t, different day
For me so far, it has been two Mercedes-Benz, in the left lane, with those dopey "W 04" stickers-- the ones that look like the country tags. Although today I did see another W sticker on my way to work. It was on an SUV with out of state plates.

Otherwise, I've seen a ton more Kerry stickers than I have Dubyas. And I'm in Minnesota, a supposed "swing state" this year?!?!?!?
