McCain to Attack Obama for Public Radio Comments from 2001(McPOW is Following Drudge! LOL!)
On September 6, 2001, then-state senator Barack Obama appeared on a public radio chat show to discuss "Slavery and the Constitution."

You can listen to the whole show HERE.

In that show -- WBEZ-FM's "Odyssey" -- Obama discussed the role of the courts in civil rights.

Today, aides say, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., will seize on some of those remarks, as hyped by Mr. Drudge.

Obama in that interview said, "If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement, and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples, so that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at a lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it I’d be okay."

1. He's not following Drudge. Drudge is working for him.
During the last weeks of every campaign Drudge is a fully coordinated arm of the RNC message shop.

5. McCain is going to speak against civil rights?
I guess McCain think that if only those pesky blacks, Mexicans, and other minorities didn't have any rights, then McCain might have a chance in the election.

Disgusting racism in a presidential campaign!

11. Their racist campaign is aggravating, but do they really think it's effective?
Sure, their small crowds will roar approval and shout epithets. But at this point, the majority of Americans - including white Americans - think it's ugly. Frank Rich had a good column on this Sunda.

12. What is wrong with that comment?
Obama said that the courts helped "dispossese peoples" get the right to vote and equality overall. What's controversial about that unless you're a racist that disagrees with those outcomes?
