WHAT.THE. FUCK - 45 MIN NON-STOP MCCAIN/PALIN!!!!!
CNN owes Obama/Biden 45 mninutes of uninterrupted air time - PLUS. This morning they covered McCain's "new" economic BS for 15 minutes, followed by Palin for 30 minutes. Last Friday Palin had 30 uninterrupted minutes.

Yet ...

Whenever Obama or Biden are covered they give it 5 minutes!!

This is blatant support for the McCain/Palin ticket. Why does Obama have to pay for the 30 minute slot on Wednesday?? Seems like they owe him more air time than that.

I'm soooooo pisssssed!!!

rant over.

Hannity's America. I'm surprised you're just now finding out about it. He's been doing it since Obama enetered the race.

37. Follow the money
It is simple. The entertainment networks (which includes CNN and MSNBC) are funded by their advertising. Election season is their "Christmas". They maximize their advertising sell by creating the perception of a tight race, forcing the candidates to spend much more than is really necessary.

11. I just emailed them.
They showed Biden speaking on the screen and the lady was like, "We'll check back in with them in a bit, but first..."

They ran a campaign story over actually showing the fucking campaign and then showed Biden for 5 minutes and cut away, AGAIN, for a commercial. This after Palin for 30 minutes straight.

14. I was annoyed at first, but when McLame spent the first 5 minutes introducing
his economic advisors and going on about NOTHING NEW, I decided it didn't matter.
Most people (including me) got bored and changed the channel I'm sure. He is coma-inducing.
I was gone by the time Mooselini was on, and I bet most folks were.

It was definitely a cheap ploy for free air time, but they didn't use it effectively AT ALL!

Edited on Mon Oct-27-08 10:02 AM by Mr_Jefferson_24
...willing participants in the crimes of 9-11, and they know the circumstantial evidence for this is widely available and very damning. They don't want a president that might, at some point, be persuaded to authorize an honest and aggressive pursuit of justice for the crimes of 9-11. They know McCain would never authorize such a thing -- they're not altogether sure of Obama.

If you doubt media's involvement, do a little research -- the truth is out there:

24. Take heart.
If it was on in the hour prior to your posting, many, many people were getting ready for work, on their way to work, at work, or sleeping in. If they gave the freak show that much uninterrupted time in primetime, I'd say it was worth ranting about. But at that hour? Their competing with Sesame Street and GMA, both which most likely swept CNN's rating this morning hands down.

25. McCain doesn't have enough money left for TV ad buys so MSM and cable are giving him free air time
and that SUCKS.

They cover McCain and Palin ad nauseum every day. EVERY. DAY. Whether it's helping or hurting doesn't matter. It is unfair and it's only spreading the hatred and lies that have become the hallmarks of these "mavericks'" campaign.

I'm ready to burst a blood vessel here. I can't wait for this election to be OVER.

26. Don't tell us - TELL THEM.
Remind them they will need viewership AFTER this election is over and that many of us are currently deciding who deserves our "news Business." Media whores like CNN depend on ratings - let them know they may not be as "recession proof" as they think they are.

Perhaps when we have more than FIVE Republican owned media conglomerates, we'll get a bit more diversity in news and commentary options.

33. CNN just keeps getting worse
They air virtually all of Palin's speeches, uninterrupted. Have they even shown ONE complete Biden speech since the convention?

They also go out of their way to play down the difference in crowd size at McCain and Obama rallies through use of camera angles, etc.

With McCain/Palin trailing and the endless gaffes + unpredictable crowd covering them would make for better television. I agree the networks have a repub slant but they want a horse race + good *Jerry Springer* tv.
