MSNBC Cook with Schuster: Life is not fair, McCain will lose
Charlie Cook just told Schuster that this is a 6,7,8,or 9 point race but the bottom fell out of the McCain campaign in September due to the crash of Wall Street. He also said that up until then the fight had been fair but after the crash of Wall Street it became unfair, but life is not fair anyway. No matter what McCain does, it is over.

So McCain and Palin may scream and smear all they want this week and it may close the gap a little but McCain is and epic fail.

2. I don';t think the MSM should say "It's over".
If pro-Obama people become too sure and complacent, they won't go out to vote on Nov. 4.

3. Fair?
MY BIGGEST complaint has been that the Dems in congress have been too fair, bending backwards fair, to the criminals, frauds, thieves, and religious bigots who currently hold office for the GOP.

FAIR? When the president lied us into a war, destroyed our economy, erased the separation of church and state, and created such evil partisanship, that Palin's rallies remind one of similar meetings across the Atlantic, a generation and one world war earlier. Except they spoke german.

FAIR?

4. it's stupid to think the Wall Street crash was McCain's fatal blow.
Clearly the Palin pick transformed the campaign to negatives for him.

9. Not the crash per se, but McCain's creepy and erratic reaction is what
put the nail in his coffin...AND selecting Palin as VP. :patriot:

It was McCain's reaction to the crash.

8. No, it was the crash, because the crash is a piece of evidence that
contradicts Mccain's entire philosophy.

If people moved against McCain after the crash, it is not merely because he "reacted badly." It is because the crash is the clearest piece of evidence against Republican mismanagement and obvious ideological error.

6. These are ludicrous propositions
Even a cursory examination of the long-term graphs demonstrate that Obama was up 5-6 points pretty much since he clinched the nomination, and dipped below Mccain for a week or two immediately following the GOP convention, only to climb back up after the financial collapse. What you saw was a convention bounce, and nothing more.

Second, this notion that the financial collapse is some "external event" that is affecting the election is just false. The financial collapse demonstrated in concrete terms the absolute bankruptcy of Republican political and fiscal PHILOSOPHY, as well as their utter mismanagement of the country. It is not "external," but the most powerful piece of concrete evidence against McCain's platform.

fairness and McCain are not connected. Now there is some ironic truth there but in fact it IS fair that the mess of decades that McCain kicked off with his Keating Five sellout delivers the fatal balloon puncture to the old fraud. The whole comment misstates the obvious. Better to comment on mercy of fairness intervening to spare America MORE unfair fraud, mercy justice and truth being timely this time and too long deferred.

What is not true and not fair is that the events are NOT remarked upon and denied the rational awareness and respect necessary for the American public to progress out of the unfair morass created by alliances of utter scoundrels, traitors and fakes. They are not life. They are death.

And death, in the long run, is undeniably fair.

10. The Wall Street Crash just helped to expose the hollowness of Republican
economic ideology which McCain championed and still does. McCain chose to remain glued to that ideology and he sank with it.

The Wall Street Crash showed Americans BEFORE THE ELECTION, how the dominant ideology over the last 30 years, the Republican economic ideology, has bankrupted America.
