Ok this Green Party guy is voting for Kerry
After a lot of thought I am going to be voting for Kerry and trying to persuade the other Green Party members in the area to do the same. Nader is not even going to get on all 50 state ballots so this year is a lost cause for us :(

YOu are doing the right thing. Greens know as much as everyone that Kerry's environmental policies are like night/day with Dumbya.

3. Considering the Green Party disavowed him this year
I wonder why ANY Greenie would vote for him.

Welcome, and you won't regret your vote!

4. Nader Not Green Anymore Anyway, Is He?
My dad is a registered Green and FINALLY came to the conclusion that the best strategy is: Green locally, Dem nationally, and have the Greens pressure the Dems not to buckle to corp interests, etc.

8. I am in favor of same day voter registration,
I am also interested in tiered voting. These are things that will encourage third (and fourth and fifth) parties in the future. But this year, the only thing that is important is getting rid of W.

I am glad you decided to vote for Kerry.

10. It must be difficult for you...
but getting Bush out of office is imperative. Your decision will help millions of Americans. As one of those millions, I thank you.

11. The green party needs to make a difference in local elections
first, and build up credibility. Going directly to a Presidential candidate only serves to spoil the chances of the dems and serves no useful purpose.

13. I'm still thinking about it myself
Haven't decided yet. I'm from CA, so in this case I don't think my vote will really make a difference. I despise bush beyond expression, but I'm also extremely unsatisfied with the state of American politics. So for me, it's voting for a guy who's ideas I almost completely agree with and making an personal stand, or voting for a guy who's ideas I think are generally good (translation: 1000 times better than bushes) that I know is going to win my state anyway. Any advice from green converts?

17. Here is why
Well not to start up the debate but last year I voted for Nader and looke what happened. There is just not enough support for the Green Party on the national scale as many of these guys have pointed out. I will vote for Greens localy and in state elections but not the national ones. Once we get Bush out and the country sees how wrong this guy was many people will swing over to the left and hopefully some of them to the Green Party :)

14. Thanks for your vote and your efforts
I'm all for 3rd party candidates and their fresh views.. but this is just the wrong election cycle for them to be viable or rational choice for the voters.

You can't start remodelling the house while the house is still on fire.

18. Wonderful
Vote for Kerry, and the Greens who vote for him should make him aware of it as well as what they hope for from him. The more support he gets from them the more he's going to be able to let the Green in him out and there's plenty of it there.

20. The Green Party members in California
who will vote Green instead of Kerry because Kerry has California, just remember that the Diebold machines will be in use there and California can be stolen, so Kerry needs to overwhelm Diebold.

26. they are using them?
I thought the state didn't certify the machines because diebold was doing some questionable stuff with some of the machines.

We'll just have to regroup and get back on the state ballots all over again.

But what else are you gonna do in a case like this?

Kerry's environmental record in the Senate is superb though.

He's proved his leadership in that area, and he will get my vote.
