YOU DID THIS, bush.
Heather Pepper pulls a cigarette out of her husband’s pack, lights it and takes a drag to get it burning.

“Here, honey,” she says, holding it in front of Staff Sgt. Jason Pepper, 27, and moving an ashtray to a spot near him on the table. His face and his blank eyes turn toward her, following her voice, his hand groping the air to find hers.

Blinded four months ago by a roadside explosion in Iraq, Pepper is almost completely dependent on his wife. She helps him bathe, dress and eat. When he walks, he throws his hands over her shoulders, shuffling along behind her. She has become his eyes.

1. I don't think there's a single worse thing that a person
living on this Earth could do than start a needless war.

3. These are the things I cannot deal with
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 01:56 PM by Marianne
the things I wake up thinking about in the middle of the night when sleep eludes me. I cannot deal with it

An AWOL, cowardly, prick, priveledged elitist despicable adolescent strutting and swaggering and smirking sadist whose IQ is severly limited, has used our children as his pawns in a slaughter that killed tens of thousands of innocent people.

For his own power and ego and his corporate buddies. There can be nothihng more evil, I agree.

They are not only blind, but are missing limbs to the tune of 1,100 injured in the last month. For nothing.
For nothing. Those families will never be the same and he refuses to recognize them as they arrive back home in the dead of night, their coffins covered with the flag.

There is nothing about this that can be interpreted as "defending our freedoms". NOTHING. Dead is dead and we approach one thousand dead of our youngest and strongest.

I am sick at heart over the agonies he has forced upon the families of our children who he sends to die for his greed. I am sick at heart at the slaughter of thousands upo9n thousands of innocent human beings all for this prick of a do nothing crook who stole an election.

How fifty or so percent of the people can support this is the biggest tragedy. But they do. I am ashamed of what this country has become.

5. Thank you, Marianne,
for expressing yourself so well, as these are my feelings, too. That's why I think the war is such an important issue. And I am absolutely amazed at the Americans who support AWOL. Don't they have brains and, if so, why aren't they using them?? My mind boggles...

6. What can we say? Bush is one sorry s.o.b.
Thousands of lives have been lost and/or devastated because of this deranged lunatic. I hope his God has mercy on his soul, because he'll need it.

7. Oh sure, he SAYS he's blind
But until Dr. Bob Dole has examined the patient, we can't know for sure. I hope Staff Sgt. Pepper never decides to run for office.

13. I'm not. They should never have HAD to make these sacrifices.
Or should that be, "be these sacrifices." To what are we sacrificing our youth? To greed, to liars, to incompetent fools stirring up strife, to one cowardly man's personal vendetta against a third-rate petty dictator who posed *no* immediate threat to us and never did. I am honored by my grandfather who stormed the beach at Normandy; I am honored by the *intent* of many of these young men and women who put their trust in our leader, believing that they, too, were fighting a righteous cause. They were not. They were betrayed. I am not honored by the sacrifice of these young people. I am sick with outrage and sorrow, and so should be any right-thinking American.

14. It saddens me to hear this from you.
Do you feel the same for the fallen veterans of Vietnam? What about Bosnia? Korea? These were also deemed *not a threat* but those service members died for their military and their Commander and chief. We entered the Vietnam war with the orders of JFK. Was he a mad man? a crazy man? He signed the orders and sent thousands of troops over there. Those troops were slaughtered by the Vietcong. Does this make JFK a murderer?
Between 1965 and 1975 we lost over 50,000 American soldiers. An average of 5000 per year. I ask again, does this make JFK a murderer?

Avoid speaking of the evil Bush and insert Kennedy.
Hey, at the same time, insert Clinton's penis. You know, the failed Somalia incident

Sorry--Bush is the president now and there is enough evidence that he embarked on this venture all by himself with the advice of people who surround him who took over in their Machiavellian/Straussian pursuit of pre-emtive attacks. Kill them all.

Yeah--only if the country is small , has no army, has no air force, has no navy and has no means of defense. He saw to it after the UN gave their report. Yippeee--they have nothing, not to mention that we bombed the no fly zone without a single bit of resistance for ten years, and not to mention the 500,000 children who died because of the inhuman sanctions imposed on Iraq.

Sorry buddy--you cannot foist this off on John Kennedy who died forty years ago, or on Clinton.

Your guy, George Bush , is totally responsible for this evil, barbaric slaughter. He and only he ordered it and was in charge. One thousand and one of our best and youngest have been murdered by him and his ignorant policies. He himself admitted he "miscalculated' Well duh--apparently he is still "miscalculating" since thirteen of our troops have been killed in a twenty four hour period. How exactly does he calculate anything?

George Bush is the ONLY one responsible. It CANNOT be denied.

He sent our children to die on abject lies. He is incompetant, he is ignorant and he is an insane man who is the ONLY one responsible for these unnecessary deaths of our troops. Those families will NEVER be the same, due to the stupidity of the AWOL, deserter, CIC, the guy who loves to dress up in fantasy costumes, George Bush.
