DU Expats!! Your help is needed!
A 527 organization called WinBackRespect.org is trying to raise money to run ads, both print and video from what I can tell, testifying to how the Bush administration has damaged the reputation of and goodwill toward our nation around the world, and how it threatens our national security. There is also a letter they are asking Americans living abroad to sign which will run in the print media.

Please check out the following websites:

http://www.winbackrespect.org/index.html
http://www.winbackrespect.org/newsite/letter_contribute_temp.html

On the WinBackRespect.org advisory board:
Gary Hart
Former United States Senator, Co-Chair of US Commission on National Security

Anthony Lake
National Security Advisor to President Clinton

Leon Fuerth
National Security Advisor to Vice President Gore

Elaine Kamarck
Senior Advisor to Vice President Gore

Jim Moore
Director of Internet & Information Systems, Dean for America
Senior Fellow, Berkman Center for Internet & Society, Harvard Law School

Linda Bilmes
Former Assistant Secretary, Department of Commerce
Former Head of Boston Consulting Group, Europe

Robert Barry
United States Ambassador under President Reagan & President Clinton

Robert M. Orr
USAID official under President Reagan
Senior Business Executive in Japan & Europe

Steve Jarding
Chair of John Edwards' New American Optimists PAC

Richard Swett
Former United States Ambassador, Former New Hampshire Congressman

A mission or vision statement from the "about us" page:

In the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks there was an unprecedented outpouring of goodwill towards the United States. Now, less than three years later, confidence in American leadership around the world is at historic lows. The Bush administration's approach to foreign policy has alienated America's traditional friends and allies and damaged its relationships around the world.

These relationships are vital for our national security. America cannot fight terrorism or solve other problems distrusted and alone. To make America safer, we must win back the world's respect.

Win Back Respect is an alliance of Americans and America's friends abroad who are committed to restoring America's standing in the world. The campaign will highlight to voters in key battleground states the very real costs——in lives lost and dollars spent——of the Bush administration pushing away America's friends and allies.

The Win Back Respect campaign is run by Safer Together 04, an independent political organization dedicated to building a stronger, more cooperative American foreign policy. Safer Together 04 is backed by an Advisory Board with considerable experience in foreign policy, national security, and political campaigns.
