This is why Democrats lose....
Watch Jesse Jackson now on CNN trashing Kerry's campaign.

Every day there is some "democratic" person taking shots at Kerry courtesy of the "liberal" media...

Do you EVER see a rethug criticising the chimp?

2. Well yeah
All the time. They are mad at him for example for not imposing draconian immigration laws. Or for not officially sanctioning racial profiling. They also don't like the fact that he hasn't shut down the department of education. Now they aren't making these critiques as loudly; but they still are out there.

3. I agree. Put a smile on your face and say the campaign is going great.
These Democrats giving news clips to the media about the supposed trouble and problems in the Kerry campaign are pissing me off. Why are they playing right into the media's tale of a floundering Kerry campaign. STFU and do what you need to behind the scenes to change things, but don't feed the media tale.

4. our surrogates suck, plain and simple
From Donna Brazille, to Tad Devine, all the way down the line, their a bunch of wimps who seem more intent on scoring debating points than actually making people connect with what they say.

I swear I wish I ran this party because I would totally clean house. There is so much that is wrong with this party, so much institutionally that can't be fixed in just one election cycle.

If party organization were like a car, Bush would have a corvette and Kerry would have a pinto.

The problem is the people around Kerry, not Kerry himself. He's a fine candidate who's not well served by those who speak for him.

6. Yep
We do the same thing with people like Michael Moore.. "I don't like Moore personally, but he makes some good points." or "Moore is kind of a slime ball, but his movie was great." You heard that kind of shit all over the place when F911 came out. You never hear republicans saying things like, "Hannity is a douche bag but his book was excellent!" I think it has to do with the integrity of the left, and our hesitance to be kool aid drinkers, and it's a good instinct! But yeah, it's a catch-22 when it comes to politics because it makes you appear weak.

8. This is so that IF he loses they can say "I told you so".
One would hope the Kerry folks have LONG memories about such "team play".

15. It looks to me like that's what he's doing.
He can't go running to Jesse now or he'll look weak. That was a mistake Dukakis made. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest, in fact, if this whole thing is a sham, an innoculation against attempts to attack Kerry from the racist angle. Chess, not checkers ;-)

14. While I don't agree that one can never criticize Kerry,
I do think that Jackson's agreeing with Woodwhore that the Kerry campaign is weak definitely didn't help.

16. Actually, there is another reason Democrats lose
It is because we do not build our campaign on selling lies.

You want to know why Republicans win? Just look at their convention. They built up this phony, bullshit "big tent" illusion, and spirits were hight. But everything about it was a huge lie.

For a while, it even seemed that the GOP platform was shifting to adopt more progressive policies.

Too bad not of word of what they said is true.

They win because they lie their asses off and make empty promises.
