1. Bernie Ward talked it up quite a bit last night on KGO in San Francisco
I think he devoted an entire half hour to it. Ward often appears on cable news as a commentator. Ward especially focused on the fact that both Bush and his handlers stated that he hadn't done cocaine for at least 25 years before the 2000 campaign. Ward made the point that if what Sharon Bush said is true, it destroys Bush's character if Bush took cocaine as late as 1992. It's not necessarily the cocaine use, but the lying about it that he felt would be damaging.
2. Bush also lied and said he continued to fly when he was actually grounded

from flying and NEVER flew again. He even wrote it in his 1999 bio. The gullible idiots ate it up with a spoon.
No matter that a candidate AND a president and all of his aides spent over 4 years LYING and covering up his actual record.
It's one thing to screw up because you're a young man afraid to go to war, it's another to know the truth for the last 30 years and as president instruct your aides to lie and cover up for that mistake. What Bible verse told George to do that?
Bush has NO character. He'll always be the boy who hid behind others and used others to clean up his messes.
3. Local TV station called me today with a poll about the Kitty Kelley book
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 05:51 PM by PA Democrat
Was I aware of it? Did I find the allegations of Bush's cocaine use believable? Should that be an issue in the election? Was Kelley writing the book to make money or to influence the election?
5. Local station (KDKA) in Pitt had a story on it, essentially defining it
as dirty politics. They are getting ahead of it by trashing the book early before it gets any other kind of coverage. Probably an attempt to make it sound like National Enquirer. They even had a call in survey something like "is it believeable?" and most will probably vote "no" after seeing the segment on the news.
