15. Yeah, or becoming a candidate for president...
to say nothing of becoming the first black presidential candidate. Anyone can do that shit.
:eyes:

Of course, that's his subtext, isn't it. Obama is the candidate because of reverse bigotry, or affirmative action, or whatever the catchphrase du jour is. Not because he earned it.

2. Um . . . Defeat Hillary Clinton?

. . . to, you know, secure the Democratic Party's nomination for - - what was it - - oh yes, President of the United States?

Become a U.S. Senator?

Graduate first in his class in law school?

Rollins = dumb.

17. Dunno, Just Assumed
Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 04:41 PM by DarthDem
I'm at work and didn't see it, so someone else should confirm. Ed Rollins is an old Reagan-era West Winger who's bald with glasses and a grey beard. Sometimes says smart things; apparently not today, if that was indeed him you quoted.

On edit: there is an Ed Rogers who is a lobbyist in a firm that Haley Barbag used to be part of. Maybe that's him you saw. Ed Rollins is a Gooper, but he's not that stupid.

Constitutional Law? Thinking things through in a calm, rational way? Oh, that's easy I guess.

8. Ed Rogers probably couldn't even read the Harvard Law Review if he tried.
Rogers would probably hold it upside down.

And a McCain win will be good for Ed's business.

12. Rogers: Bitter, jealous
Seriously, that's all I could think when he said that. This guy is angry that Obama is accomplishing more with his life than Rogers ever will and that makes him angry, so angry that he will spew whatever nonsense he can to make it seem like he is just as good as Obama.
