ABC News - a disgrace for news coverage ...pumping awol vs Kerry
You wonder why people's opinions are the way they are. You get home from work turn on Peter Jennings and you have them pumping Cheney's hate rhetoric and suggesting Kerry is "floppiing and behind".

Never mind the facts of a close race

Never mind the facts of 1000 deaths from a war of choice

Never mind the issues...it's all on terra...vote repug.

They are disgusting...screw ABC and Cap Cities.

3. Well, CBS News was about the opposite of that tonight
They dissected a couple of the propaganda bits that Republicans have been trying to spread about Kerry, specifically the '$87 billion' and the IWR vote. They explained the truth about it fairly well.

28. CBS & Danny Rather are hopping mad for being bypassed
in the debates as moderators. It will be shared by FUX, NBC & ABC.

5. CBS just kicked butt!
I couldn't believe it. They told the truth about Kerry not flip flopping on Iraq and explained the 87 million vote. They did it clearly and they wrote it on the bottom of the screen so people could take it in. I have been waiting for someone to talk about the 87 million for so long. I almost cried. Also they said that Cheney said if * isn't re-elected that we will be hit again! OMG I can't believe he said that! Yeah CBS you rock! Truth to power!

9. Jennings et al really went Bushie* since the Michael Moore F9/11
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 05:53 PM by hlthe2b
"war" broke, with Jennings apparently pissed that his total and premature discounting of Moore's AWOL statements re: Bush gained traction elsewhere. Then of course there's the parent Disney battle with Moore over the film. Pretty hopeless now with a rare exception or two...

11. email them!
I saw we pound and hound the media and "journalist" who are not responsible enough to report the facts. It's our job to stay on them! I would but I didn't see it.

I think we need an email list of all the reporters on major networks for quick reference.

12. ABC's Dean Reynolds was inserting his opinion heavily.
It was hardly "reporting" -- it was editorializing.

It was so noticeable and sickening, it made me pause what I was doing to stop and listen and see WHO was trashing Kerry so much in what should've been a straightforward report.

Ugh. Pathetic.

13. Watch CBS!
As others have already mentioned in this thread, John Roberts' report on the CBS Evening News tonight regarding the "flip flops" was pretty good. He even mentioned that Bush had threatened to veto a version of the $87 billion spending bill.

18. I've given up on ABC & NBC
yesterday NBC did a hatchet job on Kerry. They showed those protesters and said they were from the neighborhood one of the protesters themselves said that they had come 50 miles to be there, so much for accuracy. :-( They also made a smart ass comment about Kerry having a "hard" road ahead to the WhiteHouse but said nothing about chimp having one even harder. :argh:

30. The media is keeping doubt about Kerry alive
and at top of the mind awareness of viewers. Kerry pundits are at fault for not keeping aggressively to the facts, and they should embarrass the hosts for not being factual.
