Hillary will have a clear run in 2008 with no incumbent
in office.

Barnicle just HAMMERING him

Dee Dee Myers is admitting he's not doing too well, NOT ATTACKING the lies about the swiftliars, which tweety referenced

not mentioning the SMEAR campaign, the BS the others are spewing now

17. What new polls?
There's nothing new today, I don't think. BTW, let Barnicle say that. He'll look like an idiot when polls soon show the race even again. The only double-digit polls I know of are Newsweek and Time, and both were done at Bush's peak, and polled way too many Repukes.

23. talked about a new Gallup, which shows a seven point lead
Zogby, which shows a two point lead, which is a change from a Kerry seven point lead (that one bothers me)

one other, actually, which I can't remember

none of the double digit lead polls were cited, IIRC

no mention, of course, of how those double digit ones are reducing quickly

they really went after Kerry for not being able to get his message out, being too elite, focusing on wrong subjects

Dee Dee was atrocious, though....completely useless, spineless

THAT was the time for a powerful counterattack on what LIARS the pugs are about EVERYTHING

WHEN are they going to get some detailed, repeatable talking points

It was Time and Newsweek. But, hey, let the pundits count Kerry out. We all know how wrong they are about everything else.

29. I think his message has improved dramatically in recent days
He's engaging Bush on Iraq and the economy, which he wasn't doing for about a month. Remember, Bush benfitted from the fact those two issues were off the radar screen for weeks. Now they're back on.

36. Im concerned as well
After speaking with some Dems and undecideds today they have me thinking, I KNOW too much. But that is by far my biggest fault, think think think, over think. DOES he have it in him to get the message across, the message is so obvious, but it's escaping him, no WMDs, over 1000 dead soldiers for absolutely nothing, a wrecked economy, a huge surplus turned into a huge deficit, you know it all but Im starting to feel like it's getting away from us.

Someone said to me today if he doesnt start taking command in 2 weeks, that's it.

cheer me up.

42. Well, internal polls showed Bush's lead to be 4 points
after the convention, according to Josh Marshall. It's hard, though, to keep Dems from getting discouraged when all they hear about is these double-digit leads.

43. Well, I'll give it a try...
Last week I was very concerned about Kerry's lackadaisical campaign.

I think he has come out swinging this week. His speeches are filled with attacks on Bush's handling of the war, the economy and health care. And he is keeping his remarks short, to-the-point and media-friendly. I think the "W is Wrong" slogan is weak, but they can expand on the theme. I don't think it would hurt to up the nasty quotient, though.

Today Edwards called Cheney un-American for his completely irresponsible comment that "the nation faces the threat of another terrorist attack if voters make the "wrong choice" on Election Day." This is exactly how these fear-mongers should be handled. And it worked. Cheney has already backed down from his statement.

So I am feeling much better now. A lot can happen in two months, and if they stay on offense, they can knock George right off of his little pedestal.

Democrats have a big problem where they think they should try and be friends with the media.

Fuck that. I'm with you - we need to stop trying to be popular and take a Rovian approach. Get tough and get results. Don't just take names, name names.
