In 1994 I made a bet with a winger I worked with that Clinton did not raise taxes on people making under $100,000 a year. I brought in the tax tables from 1993 and 1994 and showed him for every income level from 25,000-99,999 (at $10,000 intervals) that everybody's taxes either went down slightly or stayed the same. Case closed. He refused to pay. He claimed that the 1993 form showed Clinton's tax rates, despite the fact that they had been printed, and mailed, at the end of 1992! Once their mind is set, no facts get through.
