1. I don't know, but I would say there isn't one.
Rising prices of everything wouldn't allow a prez not to raise taxes on some things.

5. Mmm-hmm. And given a second term, Bush will raise your federal taxes.
He's just not making the mistake his father did... of raising taxes before an election.

6. The shrub raised your taxes not lowered them. He shifted the
responsibility to state and local gov. while keeping the taxes meant to pay for it. It's nothing but a shell game the thugs have been playing since RayGuns and Dem's are to dumb to point it out.

15. I think
it was a double shift-once from the corps to the general federal taxpayer and next from federal to state and local to destroy government.

14. JFK cut taxes
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 08:41 PM by DaveSZ
The top marginal rate was 90% (set by FDR), and he cut it to 70%.

19. My FEDERAL taxes went up!
Not some weird federal excise tax or blowjob tax or whatever. My income tax. The tax Bush is so proud of cutting.

If you have no kids and home-based business expenses, you got whacked--the method of calculating business use of the home seemed to have changed dramatically. What I know is that I got back $300 on my 2002 return and had to send in over $600 this year.

People who have children got a nice tax break. Those of us who don't got to pay for it.
