"Given a level playing field, this election is Kerry's to lose"
We have survived the August "problem" caused by the GOP outfoxing the DEMS with the staggered convention timing. Now the campaign money, at least, is even again and Kerry will not be outspent on ads and outreach. The tremendous advantage any incumbent has (unlimited use of the Federal budget and constant staged- managed media exposure) is offset somewhat by Bush's failed presidency as measured by pretty much any reasonable standard (economy, jobs, deficit, war, health care, etc). But the level playing field extends to one more critical factor and this is now THE "X" factor for 2004:
Whither the media? Will they ever begin to turn on Bush? At least half of them? What is the catalyst? I mean mostly the networks, Time, Newsweek, the major dailies, cable news. I am afraid we will need a leveler playing field in this area than we seem to be getting.

1. Ah! but with Rove and company, the field is not level.
Rove will make sure he has everthing tilted in the bush corner pocket.

2. The media is a huge problem
Fox, CNN and ABC are the worst offenders.

We can win this one though fighting in the trenches - on the ground.

Volunteer to drive little old ladies to the polls.

3. The media will NEVER turn on the Republicans
Ever. The media is the enemy- and will remain the enemy until an active FCC holds them accountible.

We will either win or lose this election in spite of them.

4. Please e-mail ABC and complain about their pro-Bush bias on news.
They will respond, at least for a while, to our e-mails.
