Palin ABC Interview: Vows to Remain Player in 2012: 'Not Doing This For Naught'
ELIZABETH VARGAS: If it doesn't go your way on Tuesday ... 2012?

GOV SARAH PALIN: I'm just ... thinkin' that it's gonna go our way on Tuesday, November 4. I truly believe that the wisdom of ... of the people will be revealed on that day. As they enter that voting booth, they will understand the stark contrast between the two tickets. ...

VARGAS: But the point being that you haven't been so bruised by some of the double standard, the sexism on the campaign trail, to say, "I've had it. I'm going back to Alaska."

PALIN: Absolutely not. I think that, if I were to give up and wave a white flag of surrender against some of the political shots that we've taken, that ... that would ... bring this whole ... I'm not doin' this for naught.

VARGAS:You seemed to imply last night in a speech that Sen. Obama, if given the chance, would rewrite the Constitution to allow the courts to confiscate private property. Is that what you meant to say?

PALIN: No. Asking the question, what do his comments, from back there in 2001, candid comments that are caught on tape, what do they suggest in, in terms of his idea for future Supreme Court justices, and perhaps for ... he being able to reach some of the goals that it seems that he has, in terms of redistributing other people's wealth, hard-earned money, according to his priorities. But, no, not ... not an explicit allegation like that. No.

VARGAS:He did ... 'cause I did read that interview. He didn't advocate using the courts. He actually was quoted as saying he thought the courts were not a good way to redistribute any kind of socioeconomic ...

10. 0 guarantee she'll get her old job back.
He national loss and everything it's unearthed may be her deathnell.

I've heard pundits say she'll make a fine game show host.

Maybe she'll start the first fundie bible trivia game. Hosted by QVC. Perfect. They'll paint little crosses on the bikini's.

3. I hope she runs in 2012! She's nuts, and as someone else pointed out, moderates and independents
won't vote for her, so to me she'd be a perfect candidate for President Obama to defeat as he gets re-elected!

19. I don't believe she used the word "naught."
If she did, she probably had help.

That being said, the Shadow Governor Dude is not going to allow her to withdraw from the national GOP scene. She is going to be a hate mongering money machine.

22. *shudder*
She scares the HELL out of me. I hope they boot her sorry butt out of office back home because if she remains in the limelight of national politics somehow, I just might lose my last remaining bits of sanity. Little Miss we don't need books because God likes us to make stuff up can just take her ideology of mind-control and .... well, I'm sure you can finish that yourselves.

25. HAHAHAHA! The Rethugs have created a monster, they can have her for 2012 if McLame loses.
Which he most likely will. They will be saddled with Sarah's ambitions. She won't run for VP again, oh no. She is their "rising star". Their female Ronald Reagan. This would be the best thing to happen for the Dem party ever.

You know, the one in which the long suffering citizens of that state pay to fly her brood around to their father's races?

27. Wow... how desperate is the McCain campaign to knowingly retain a turncoat in the making?
It's been so fucking obvious that Palin is just using McCain as a stepping stone (as her past history has shown, she has the tendency of using mentors/patrons as stepping stones) with all the various things she's said and done. The lack of reproach she's shown to followers who are keen to deify her with stickers saying Palin-McCain rather than McCain-Palin and outright Palin 2012 kind of mentality is also so fucking obvious. The McCain campaign might as well have been hit with anvils, she's so fucking naked in her raw ambition.

Plus, all of her words and actions portend a disturbing trend for Republicans to take in the future if Palin does peel off a sizable fraction of the Republican base and that's a return to the "red scare" type of days. Palin's relish in tearing down opponents with falsities and just outright irresponsible mob fomenting words is something that America really should not re-visit. Her lies that her previous mentor, the ex-Wasilla mayor who was Lutheran, was somehow not Christian (and possibly Jewish because his name vaguely sounds Jewish) and because of that, his wife might not be his legal wife mirror the exact same viciousness with which she has falsely attacked Barack Obama for being friends with terrorists, a socialist (you just know that the next step is communist) and a radical. It's all just disturbing, ridiculous and insane. I feel pity for the Republicans.

28. By 2012 this country will have such a great comeback
Both Nationally and Internationally that the Republicans will barely be able to start building their party. The millions of young new Democrats will not switch parties because that rarely happens. Plus the Bush era will be part of history and it will forever be branded asbthe era that almost destroyed this country. Palin will have only the Fascist Christian rednecks she has now, except for those that actually do better in Obama's Presidency. Fuck her.
