Jeff Greenfield and Aaron Brown struggling to find a favorable spin of
Cheney's remarks.

Since when do "journalists" sit around saying, "how can we interpret this in the light most favorable to the guy who said it?"

7. Not exactly -
In fairness to Aaron Brown, it was Greenfield struggling to spin it in the Neocons favor.

Aaron Brown said he heard it as "a vote for John Kerry is a vote for another terror attack".

13. Agree with you completely
Aaron Brown TRIES to be fair.

And he is fair repeatedly...he does not blow in the wind like Tweety & others.

28. Perhaps my wording was misleading...
Aaron Brown IS fair...

I do not have the vaguest idea of his political beliefs. but I know he reports issues in more depth, than other newsmen.

A few more of these and the public might realize that they have been gamed
The whole thing is a con. The sooner that people figure it out the better, because it will be a lot harder to fix after Nov 2.

6. Edwards would of been eaten alive if those words came
out of his mouth...not necessarily by the bushites but by the media MORE than the campaign...I am scared for this country...because of the media..and because what is out there that they REFUSE to report...what happens if they break a story not favorable to Bush? I mean if they get fired..couldn't they come out and say "I got fired for reporting a story on the President" what happened when Woodward and Bernstein broke Watergate? did everyone just find them repulsive?? did they lose their jobs??? I mean I dont' get it...I know it is all about the money..but man...do they have no soul???

Watergate was real reporting. I am as perplexed as you about
what has happened. Are the reporters today mass hypnotized by Shrub? They have become little puppets whose strings are pulled by the WH.

the coverage of the Iraq war and Bush... then she lost her job and her public voice. Fire a few and the rest cower in fear.

8. can you imagine......
if Kerry made the statemen that we cant win the war on terror or that if you vote for Bush we will be attacked again? He would be crushed by the media....it would be in the end of Kerry. But Bush and Cheney say it and the media spins it and says they simply mispoke and corrected himself.

crowley, blitzer, et al should be put out to pasture when Kerry wins this one.

It will be kinda of interesting to see if any of them change their turn or continue to pimp for the repukes. It sure won't be for klutzboy.

26. Yes he was and he set Jeff straight,
didn't he?! He seemed pissed off at Greenfield and got a good jab in there when Greenfield said "It depends on "how" you WANT to hear it..or how the Democrats "want" to hear it" and Brown said..."No, that is how "I" heard it." And gave Greenfield a look like..."You know what Cheney meant." Greenfield looked embarrassed. Aaron didn't let him get away with the spin. Very interesting.

14. Greenfield is disgusting
To suggest that taking the statement at face value ("plain language" is the parlance used by lawyers), one would have to have Democratic proclivities is absolutely ludicrous.

Add another name to the CNN media whore sh*tlist.

and has generally not probed, exposed, or corrected blatant lies and falsehoods spewed by talking heads on his show. He's a smug motherfucker who delights in his arrogance. Check out the interview with him on Pacifica sometime.

35. Interview was broadcast a year ago (roughly)
Amy went after the reporting of the Iraq war. Aaron seemed surprised.

Think about that one.

Amy stuck to it. Aaron didn't like it. There were some less than stellar moments.

Pacifica keeps archives. It's worth a listen.
