Log Cabin Republicans may shun Bush
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 10:05 PM by RatTerrier
Usually, I take everything posted on Drudge with a grain of salt, but this has been an unusually good day for him (aside from that silly Kerry gun article which was debunked so strongly that he's running rebuttals from Kerry's campaign). Bush trying to cower out of a debate, Cheney going psycho, and Kitty Kelley.

Anyhoo, now he says that "LOG CABIN RUPUBLICANS WITHHOLD ENDORSEMENT OF BUSH -- OR KERRY...".

As always, it's "Developing..."

4. I'll take it!
Did you know that approximately 25% of GLBT voters voted for the Chimp in 2000? Had just a mere 5% gone our way, we would have probably won Florida. Every little bit of support helps. Take the Stern supporters, the sane 2000 Naderites, the gay republicans, the GOP deficit hawks.. it could be the strange coalition that it takes to win this thing.

7. Log Cabin Repuglicans can go fuck themselves.
They disgust me. If they had one iota of intelligence, they'd endorse Kerry and campaign vigorously against Bush*. They are ignorant swine and cannot be relied upon for anything.

15. They are not ignorant swine, they are greedy swine...
who are in love with republican economic policy. They are more than happy to let our party take the hits in order to secure THEIR civil rights. It will be win/win for these selfish cocksuckers.

8. LCCR's had a panel discussion on c-span and said the same thing.
I watched a rerun last weekend I think. They were pretty upset about the admin. treatment on the Constitutional Amendment and what is written in the Campaign Platform. They said then they were strongly considering witholding their endorsement. I don't know how much this will really mean to the Pub vote, but I was glad to hear it.

10. May?
Oooooooooooo. Bush should be really scared. They're really going to make trouble for him now.

Remind me, why are they Republicans, when the entire Party platform invokes pure hatred of their very existence?

Oh, yeah, I forgot, they want to pay less in taxes. That makes sense.

16. LCR are disgraces upon humanity
a bunch of self-hating idiots. If they had any sense of pride and honor they'd ditch bush and support Kerry who is at least for civil unions and not hostile to their very existense unlike shrub.

19. They "May" shun?
What just stuns and bewilders me is the fact that these Gay Republicans "may" shun Bush. This means that they may possibly shun Bush. . . . Of course the flip side of the coin posits that they "may" vote for Bush. I don't understand those poor people; I pity their ignorance, yet their lack of interest in keeping up with the issues disgusts me at the same time. Maybe they should spend some time reading about what the Bush Administration (including John Ashcroft) want to do with their rights?

20. Andrew Sullivan seems to be heading that way too
TalkingPointsMemo.com (Josh Marshall) even linked to a recent Andrew Sullivan column - seems he is turning anti-Bush.

Also saw part of the C-span forum - was interesting - the LCR's seem to want to emphasize support of pro-gay rights Republican politicians in order to form a majority coallition (such as Giulliani and Pataki). My impression from that meeting was that they are a cog in a larger wheel of GLBT strategy.
