That Bush was not AWOL:

In January 1973, Private Gary Donahue was on his second tour of duty in Vietnam when he stopped with a few other GIs at a sweaty Saigon bar called the Roc Club. It was nearing midnight, and the place was thick with well-lubricated soldiers and local women. A middle-aged Vietnamese crooner prowled a makeshift stage, singing standards like "Mack the Knife" and "Luck Be a Lady."
<snip

And here's the debunker that I printed out for him to take back:

Isn't that a bare-chested George W. Bush cavorting with Saigon bar girls in 1972? And who knew that the leader of the free world once worked as a Rolling Stones roadie? Or hung out with Andy Warhol's Pop Art crowd? It's all laid out in a lavish photo spread and accompanying text in a national magazine now on the newsstands.
<snip

I have to admit...MrG had me going for a minute when he came home from work talking about it. :) :) :) :)...Hope Rove didn't see this. ;)

11. People who post at Free Republic.com, but it has now transcended
that to encompass all Republicans for me. :hi: Kind of a pet name, as it were. :)

3. Freepers, God love 'em. . .

Some people wouldn't know a satire if it bit 'em on the ass.

5. If they could discern fiction from fact, they wouldn't be freepers
Inside every republican is a progressive waiting to learn how to think critically.

10. Young folks like you should be computer gurus
compared to old farts like me (57). :-)

Freepers are funny. Ever watch "All In The Family"? Most freepers are like Archie, except they can type and worship Ronald Reagan rather than Herbert Hoover and Richard Nixon.
