Does anyone know someone that was convinced to vote for Bush after the RNC? Was there anything in his speech or anyone else's that helped make up their mind?

I'm curious because the polls show some Kerry states may have tightened (like NJ), but I sort of doubt that any state in NE other than NH is in play. The reason I mention the north east is because the media hype surrounding Giuiliani and 9/11.

What about midwestern states? I myself don't think MI is in play much more than it was before the convention. It's a "battleground" but I don't see Bush carrying it.

I do think that the convention may have resonated with some in AR, parts of OH, MO, and perhaps TN, NC, and VA (all three are difficult for KErry to win).

5. agreed
After that absolute shitfest last week I see no big bounce at all from a practical perspective...there was absolutely nothing postive shown to me there at all except maybe incite more hatred for "the loyal opposition"...amazing considering these people control all branches of the government...

...those weird Time and Newsweek polls showing Bush with an 11 point lead led me into conniptions though...but then of course they're Republican publications after all...

3. A few people I know at work
Who were unsure if they would vote at all were pushed back into the bush camp after the Convention.

My father in law, the only Gore voter I know who has been undecided lately, is now leaning toward dubs.

4. no -- but
I do know of a couple of people who were going to vote for bush* - but are now voting for Kerry or 3rd party after the "purple heart bandaid" story for two reasons:

1. They found the bandaids an insult and a slap in the face
2. bush* didn't denounce the bandaids
