I'm not allowed to vote for Barack Obama - but I want to tell how moving this is for me. I'm from Berlin, Germany. I heard his speech here. For the first time, my view on the US is changing dramatically. Now I'm reading 3 books about american history, I begin to understand you and your beautiful country. I wish you the best. God bless America!

In Europe we're glad that a sensible and clear-thinking person is approaching White House. The sitting administration not only widened the distance between America and Europe, it also sowed division between the European nations, playing off allies against allies, calling them "Old Europe" and "New Europe", dependent on if they do what Washington commands them.
For a renewal of the weakened NATO partnership and cultural relations, for an end to the mistrust among allies.

Carsten, Germany

1. I hope this country does not embarrass itself again in front of the whole world by electing someone
other than Barack Obama. There are so many positives that will result from his election...both domestically and internationally...that anyone who truly loves this country should not even consider voting for anyone else.

It would disappoint the entire planet if Obama were not our next president.

2. I agree. People want to love America and they are looking for a reason.
Obama is someone that can bring us all together again.

8. Yes
How can people be so dumb?

Bush said he would run on an honest foreign policy etc.. said he was an outsider to washington, and that things would change.

How can people be so dumb? 8|

10. It will be really nice to be PROUD of my country again.
It will be nice to have a president AND a Congress who is actively trying to make the country, and the world, better.

I miss America. It will be good to have it back.
